Great vegan food

The menu is not intended for tourists. Online only, hard to access English, and no explanation of local dishes.

But, that aside the place is wonderful. Food is good and there is plenty of variety both local and international cuisine represented.

Pros: Huge selection, Local cuisine

Cons: Hard to scan menu in English, No explanations on menu

Authentic PR Classics

Flying into Puerto Rico I wanted to eat three things I knew I could usually find near the beaches…alcapurrias, sorullitos, and pasteles! Downside is, none of them would be vegan. I’m so grateful to have found 100% HP and their wonderful take on Puerto Rican classics. The flavor truly made me feel like I wasn’t missing out on a single thing while on this trip. Additionally, my non-vegan bf claimed it was the best vegan food he has tried at a restaurant and I agree. This place is a must try for all people!

Huge variety

Love that this place has authentic Puerto Rican food made vegan. The menu is digital and not very easy to navigate especially as an English speaker. This place has really cool vibes and lots of options!

Nice local flavor

Dig the open space with intriguing artwork. Kinda 80's Mtv style. Pleased that a fully vegan restaurant was open past 4 pm in Puerto Rico. Seems like a lot of them close after lunch. Sponsored by Daiya. Extensive food and drink options, including Puerto Rican dishes. We tried the Impossible empanadillas and pastels, which were very enjoyable.
The staff was friendly but service was slow. They use an online menu which is atrociously cumbersome to navigate.

Pros: All vegan menu, Lots of options, Cool vibe

Cons: Slow service, Bad menu app

Really dope

Huge place, nice decorations and very spacious. We went here around 7pm trying to make it before the kitchen closed. Service was a bit slow, but it was sure worth it. Prices are pretty good with great portions.

They use impossible products in a lot of their dishes, so if that’s not your thing, look for the soy options. Ordered the La Mixta HP y Carrucho HP. Just amazing flavor and tasted like the corner spot growing up. Really happy to have made it here!

Pros: Atmosphere, Pricing, All plant based

Great spot

Extensive vegan menu of rich, fried Puerto Rican comfort food. But if you’re looking for something healthy, your options are limited. I had a side salad with avocado which was fine. Great space and friendly servers.

Authentic, vegan Puerto Rican food!

This place definitely on the come up, and as a Puerto Rican vegetarian of 6 years this is very refreshing to see more options that aren’t just salad or pizza. The restaurant is really cute with all the art! I went twice during my time in San Juan, and ordered a lot of different stuff. The highlight was definitely the birria tacos which were so amazing and the vegan alcapurria. I honestly didn’t love the vegan pastel as I found it to be lacking in flavor, as well as the empanada which didn’t have much inside it besides beyond meat. I think adding olives, maybe some vegan cheese, or making more of a picadillo would bring it up a bit though it didn’t taste bad just sort of plain! The other thing I suggest is that for those dining in, it would be nicer to receive the food on an actual plate rather than in take out containers with plastic silverware. As we try to be more environmentally conscious we shouldn’t be using so much plastic and it’s definitely a bit more elevated to use actual plates! I can’t wait to come back and try more of the food as they update and grow!

Pros: Not too expensive, Lots of variety, Great atmosphere

Cons: Some of the options were lacking in flavor , Lack of proper silverware & plates

Lots of good options

It was great to have a chance to try traditional Puerto Rican food without worrying about avoiding animal products. Everything we got was quite good.

Comfort food all the way!

Wow the decor is so nice! The cow mural with the designed sofa under is super pretty. There are other cool painting everywhere as well. The place is super big, there is a lot of seating area. I had the philly cheesesteak sandwich which was very good, but huge. My daughter had the chicken strips jr on the kids menu which were very good and tender. I would probably just take one sandwich or other plate and share with my daughter if I would back, because the portions were very big.

Pros: Decor, Lots a seating area

Authentic Puerto Rican Food (but vegan)

I wish this place was closer to my hotel because I would eat here every day. The food is delicious and the space is beautiful; filled with original art. I brought some food back to my nonvegan partner and he agreed that it was not only delicious, but better than some that he had had with meat. Highly recommend!

Pros: Ambiance, Tamals , Really everything!

A Must Try!

Nice atmosphere, kind staff, beautiful artwork, and so many delicious vegan PR dishes to choose from! La Mixta HP, impossible alcapurria, and Pollo al Mojo Isleño were all 10/10. Truly the best place for authentic Puerto Rican food.

Best Puerto Rican vegan food we ever had!

My boyfriend is Puerto Rican and almost CRIED when he tried the food here, never did he think he could have traditional food with the same spices and taste level as a vegan. The Impossible meat did NOT taste like impossible, it tasted like traditional PR meat. Definitely a must try for all vegans in PR.

Pros: Very friendly staff, Deliscious!!!!!, Quite cheap!

Cons: NONE.

PSA: they stop taking orders 1 hr before close!

They close at 9, and we arrived at 7:56pm and we were told we had four minutes to order. Pretty hard when the menu is phone only and fairly hard to navigate - plus for English translation you have to click on the item. About 12 people were turned away in the last hour -
Good food though.

Great food beautiful space and location

Options for both Puerto Rican and "American" (burgers, Mac n cheese, etc) food. The flavor on the beans that came with the mixte were out of this world.
Loved the location, after lunch we took a walk down Calle Cerra to see the beautiful street art.
Such a big and beautiful space -a great statement.

Pros: Variety of options, Beautiful location and space, Great food

Cons: Takeout containers for dining in

Great value! Comfort healhy food!

The portions are huge. Many options to choose.
The canteen like this should be in every city.
Best time to visit is after 5 hours hike. You will get many healthy callories, proteins and vitamins.

You definitely take leftovers. It's cheeper then others vegan places if you consider how much you get.

Great value!

Pros: Portion size/price, Many options, from hippie to criola vegan. Comfort, Atmosphere is ETIC vegan

Cons: No free water, Plastic utencils

Local cuisine done vegan

Came here on a Wednesday for an early dinner. The location itself (as others have mentioned) is a little strange—there was no one there when we arrived so maybe it wouldn’t have felt as weird if it hadn’t been empty!

My friend and I shared the small sampler and I got la mixta. It was soo good! Lots of flavor, especially the beans. I could eat a giant vat of those things. My friend got the pollo al mojo and isn’t vegan but she was alllll about her meal and kept saying how amazing it was.

One negative is even if you’re dining in, everything is in takeaway containers, so feels a little wasteful.

Overall would recommend coming if you’re nearby and looking to try some authentic Puerto Rican food made vegan!
