Nice experience - Edit
We ordered the pancakes, which were really good but also not the ceapest. It was still defenitely worth it and really cool to try since there aren‘t many vegan pancakes available in Japan.

Fair - Edit
Food was very tasty and well-prepared, staff was friendly.
Read moreAmbiente is lacking. Seating right next to the busy, not very well-ventilated kitchen.
Worth a visit if in the area and in need of a warm meal. Wouldn't go out of my way to eat here though.
Had a set meal of teriyaki karaage and vegan katsuretto, but still left on a somewhat empty stomach.
Pros: Very tasty food, Nice dessert menu (sadly sold out)
Cons: Small portion size, Rather expensive (vegan tax?), Clothes will smell of food after

Limited options, good burgers - Edit
Menu was quite limited (“coming soon”), but the burger we got was still tasty. Wouldn’t get the karagee again, it’s just little meat dingaling, not very flavorful. Could have used a dip.

Edit:
They don’t have many non-alcoholic drinks, only apple juice, (iced) tea and (iced) coffee.
As we went back a year later, the menu was still very limited, now with “sold out”.
This week (last week of August 2024) they are NOT open for dinner.

Good vegan food - Edit
Nice little spot, I ordered a set, with a salad, soup and curry. The soup was super yum, but the curry was pretty average. I’ve heard great things about the pancakes, would like to try them next time - not sure if I could order them for dinner.

Amazing pancakes! - Edit
Good burgers for dinner, refreshing iced tea, had to have pancakes for dessert after seeing them online and they lived up to expectations. Fluffy pancakes, fresh fruit, creamy ice cream and cream, crunchy nuts. All so delicious. Laid back vibes inside, help yourself to water from the dispenser. Didn’t feel rushed.

Delicious! - Edit
Two of the best burgers I've had so far. Especially the cheese on the triple cheeseburger and the patty of the other one. Non-greasy fries. Somewhat on the pricey side, but worth it for the taste, not just a surcharge for fancy ambience. Kind staff, good portion sizes, but limited menu. We had no trouble getting a table arriving shortly after 6 p.m. on a Friday. The cheesecake was decent, unexpectedly dry and with an actual hint of cheesiness.

Disappointing - Edit
Probably should have taken the pancakes but the food we had was very bland and seemed heated up. Friendly staff though but expected much more. Very expensive for what you get

Delicious! 🥞 🍔 - Edit
Nice vegan restaurant! Really nice for breakfast and dinner (make sure to take a reservation for dinner time bc they are always very busy). I ordered the lemon fluffy pancakes for breakfast (seasonal menu, highly recommend!) and we’ve also been there for dinner to try the vegan cheese burger.. everything was amazing!

The best meal I’ve had in Kyoto! - Edit
This restaurant has been on my list to try and I’m super glad I had the opportunity to visit in Kyoto. It’s a little pricey, but so so worth it. The restaurant is small and homey. The menu is limited, and I think it shows they do a few things really well. I had the soy “chicken” cutlet burger (with cabbage and vegan mayo) and a matcha latte. All of it was absolutely delicious. I also overheard the tables near me say their food (different burgers, ice cream) was delicious as well. Definitely worth a visit!!!

best vegan burgers in Japan - Edit
So, after a week a Japan with two teens, we were all ready for something western-ish. Dropped by this wonderful little joint. Great location and the best burgers in Japan, possibly Asia itself. The planet? Maybe.
