Fabulous flavors - Edit
With 2 friends I shared 2 appetizers, falafel, the eggplant and cauliflower dishes. Sadly, we did not have room for dessert. The flavors were all excellent as was the service.

Great place to taste middle eastern food - Edit
We had a Shish Kebab wrap (a choice of wrap or bowl) w hummus and Turmeric Cauliflower. My friend liked the Shish kebab & I enjoyed Turmeric Cauliflower the most! Interesting taste and flavours. For the wrap, I definitely tasted a lot of sourness from the pickles and purple cabbage than I’d preferred.

Vegan Labneh Love - Edit
Aleph is a culinary gem that masterfully blends the flavours of several Middle Eastern countries into creative and delicious vegan dishes. My recent visit to this Middle Eastern fusion restaurant was a delightful experience that I can't wait to repeat.
Read moreThe ambiance at Aleph is charming and cozy, with tables lit by candlelight and long pothos plants trailing dramatically above. Woven throw pillows add a touch of warmth to the bench seating, creating a perfect setting for a relaxed and enjoyable meal.
The menu at Aleph is bright, rich, and thoughtfully designed, making it easy to navigate for anyone with dietary restrictions. Their gluten-free pita, in particular, is a must-try—its delicious taste rivals any traditional pita.
We started our meal with their extra creamy hummus, which was topped with olive oil, herbs, and vegan lebneh, which was so novel and special to find! I never dreamed that I would get to have lebneh again! The flavours were impeccable, setting a high bar for the rest of our dining experience.
Accompanied by an open-minded friend, who isn't vegan, we both found the food exceptional. He particularly raved about the Falafel Bowl, which was perfectly seasoned and crisp, complemented by Persian pickled cucumbers and cabbage.
Taking advantage of the "Plant Curious" app deal, we enjoyed a side dish of Aleppo Tahini Potatoes for free. The potatoes were perfectly herbed and crisped, then topped with tahinni sauce to add a delightful depth of flavour.
The service was equally impressive, with a delightful server who made us feel welcomed and well-attended throughout our meal.
Aleph has certainly won me over, and I look forward to my next visit to explore more of their delectable vegan offerings.

Delicious and creative - Edit
I have not tried their dinner menu yet but the brunch was delicious and truly unique. Cardamom in pancakes, falafel in bennies, I’ve never tried anything like it.
Read moreI wish the restaurant was closer to the residential areas. It is a bit out of the way, unless you live by the port.

Best food I’ve had in a long time. - Edit
We went here for Mother’s Day with a vegan, a vegetarian (the Moms) and some omnivores. Everyone was blown away by the food. We had a variety of things so we could taste lots. Delish across the board. The hummus, falafel and bao were great. Fave for me was the slow roasted eggplant. We’re still talking about it. Definitely will go back for all the things we didn’t try yet! Plus the cocktails were yummy too.

Big portions! - Edit
Good food, big portions. Had a 2 for 1 coupon for the falafel bowl, so happy they gave such a great coupon to the plant based eats book.

A regular for me! - Edit
Authentic Arab food with a vegan twist. Everything tastes fresh and very flavourful!
Read moreMy only feedback would be that their pitas are very chewy - they need to chill out on the kneading.
Otherwise, I definitely recommend this spot. On Ubereats they frequently have a 2 for 1 falafel dish too!

Nothing to write home about - Edit
We went for a late brunch. For an appetizer, we got the large silk road, which was good but essentially just hummus and very dense pitas for $19. Also, the ratio was not proportionate, and there was way more hummus than pita. I was surprised it was a large, because I can't imagine how tiny a small would be. I used to love eggs Benedict, and as a vegan it is one of the things that I miss, so I ordered the falafel Benedict. I was very disappointed because it was just like regular falafel but with a tiny amount of hollandaise. Maybe they were running out because it was the end of the day, but calling it Benedict feels like some sort of mean trick because it was just a regular falafel, and a mediocre one at that. My partner got a shish kabab bowl, and it was a better choice. It even came with creamy potatoes that would have filled my comfort food breakfast craving that the falafel left unfulfilled.

Best food in Vancouver - Edit
6 weeks in the USA and Canada and this was our standout meal. So delicious and awesome flavours. We went back for brunch the next day, wasn’t as exciting but still good. Dinner was the winner for sure.

Go here!!!! - Edit
My partner and I took an edible before coming here for his birthday dinner and while I’m sure the food is delicious sober, after the edible, everything was out of this world 🤯 I had the falafel bowl and he had the shawarma bowl. We also had the potatoes for an app. Everything tasted super authentic and I’ve probably never enjoyed a meal as much as I did that night. Side note - their brunch menu looks fantastic so definitely planning to return. Amazing experience!!!

A refreshing twist on brunch classics - Edit
Absolutely loved everything I tried here. The Gaza scramble is gorgeous with the sweetness added from the pine nuts and sultanas. The hummus and tofu scramble toast, and possibly my favourite were the coffee smoothie and banana date smoothie. Lovely atmosphere and great menu, worth a trip.

Best Pancakes I've ever had - Edit
Pancakes are one of my favorite things in the world but these put all others to shame! Food is now ruined forever thanks to Keenan's Pancakes. I have now experienced the peak happiness of life and it's all downhill from here. I live now only in the hopes of experiencing these heavenly discs of joy with their expertly formed crunchy edges, soft yet slightly chewy centers, and perfectly gentle flavor again some day. However my chances are slim as I live over 1000 miles away but I must endure!
