Great bread, helpful staff - Edit
Both days we went and asked for vegan options (we have a wallet card that explains what vegan is in Korean, but they looked at it and said "Vegan, OK") they had one loaf that was vegan. One time it was a sourdough, which was fluffy and delicious when we made avocado and tomato sandwiches. The second time it was a cranberry walnut bread, which we ate on its own and was delightful.

Cons: Not many vegan options, maybe they were sold out

Best of Seoul - Edit
Hands down, unequivocally the most impressive and quality bakery in Seoul .
Read moreI don’t agree with Happy Cow’s policy that only a fully vegan business can earn 5 stars. That’s unfair to the businesses that do offer vegan options. If a regular bakery goes the distance to offer it’s vegan clientele options, they should certainly be allowed to earn 5 stars if they are truly 5 star quality. Not allowing them to earn 5 stars without being fully vegan is just not fair.
On that note. Anguk 153 offers several vegan options, all of which are stunning. The previous review which said they vegan options are not marked and the staff don’t speak English needs to rethink how they review a business. All I had to do was ask the cashier which were the vegan options, and boom, 5 different baked goods were presented to me, and each one was just outstanding. The quality of the products here are not only the best in Seoul, but some of the best I’ve ever had in the US.
As far as the comments stating the employees don’t speak English: I’m not sure you realize YOU'RE IN KOREA! Learn some phrases in Korean, use a translator app, or just respect the fact that not everyone on earth needs to cater to you and speak English. When in someone else’s country maybe respect their culture and language instead of expecting them to cater to you.
Do yourself a favor and go to Anguk 153, an no frills, non pretentious, classic bakery with the best baked goods in the city! There are many vegan options including the basil and fig Ciabatta, slat loaf. Baguette, garlic loaf, red bean croissant, olive focaccia, cinnamon raisin loaf, Carmel and cinnamon high top and more!
Perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside. These pieces are just the tops

Delicious Focaccia! - Edit
The bakery is really nice. The laboratory where bread is prepared is in sight. The focaccia is delicious. The dough is absolutely perfect. The bread is also delicious! There are also other vegan options that I have not eaten. If you are in Seoul, you must visit Anguk 153.
