So I had the vegan ceviche which was the only option on the menu which was vegan. It was very small and spicy but the taste was interesting. It was just not filling so I went to another restaurant afterwards..When I go to a restaurant I expect to not have to go to another one..

Weird but ok salad - Edit
Not much on offer for vegans. Waiter offered salad. We ordered the two salads, minus the meaty bits, along with some toast and hummus. My mango and chipotle salad ended up being just chickpeas, tomatoes, leaves and croutons as the mango was rock hard and the chipotle was an egg-based mayo! I borrowed some of my boyfriend's passion fruit dressing which was tart and delicious (unlike the fresh passion fruit juice that I ordered, which was made from very unripe fruit!), and my salad was pretty tasty. The hummus was nothing like hummus but it was very tasty (mainly chickpeas and coriander). My boyfriend's salad wasn't bad - odd combinations but tasted ok!

I ordered the vegan breakfast, but turns out there was no tofu, so it was bread, guacamole and mushrooms. The taste was there, but it was definitely not enough for my hunger. Otherwise, the coffee was good and the staff is very nice.

Vegan mango ceviche - Edit
This was so unexpectedly good. Was pretty hungry and ordered this mainly out of curiously wondering how they can make vegan ceviche with mango. It was so good and the sauce was amazing. I was still quite hungry after so this could be good for a starter or light meal but the taste was so worth it!

It was very nice, that they give you water to your coffee.

Great lunch - Edit
We were there around 2pm and still able to order from a breakfast menu as well. We had sandwiches, tofu scramble on toasts, salad, etc. They were all good. It wasn’t busy but the foods took a little longer than we expected.

This place is really nice with a trendy atmosphere and very friendly staff. I went at dinner time and the only vegan option was the vegan ceviche, which was good but it's not exactly my favorite food. Prices are fair.

Read moreTIP: You can also request for tofu in the bowls although it isn’t an option on the menu. Besides that there aren’t many other vegan options, just a vegan ceviche which I didn’t try. They offer plant based milk for drinks though

Delicious scrambled tofu - Edit
Several vegan options including scrambled tofu, vegan breakfast, vegan ceviche... The food and service was amazing, and it was a lovely little cafe in La Fortuna- it really stood out!
