The bread they serve for appetizer is fresh and really yum.
I had the “India” dish which is not really Indian but I guess inspired in some way. I enjoyed it a lot.

The place is nice, the interior comfy, and the food really good. However, the prices are really high, so be aware. Also they only have the evening menu from 8pm onwards. The staff was friendly, but we had to wait a lot.

I didn’t want to go to this place before as I always go with my dog and it was very cold outside not heater , so I though was very cruel they telling me I have to eat outside , but today I passed by and gave it a try it again we had to sit outside and was very hot , not even a fan , the dessert was very good but just the sits outside are very uncomfortable and too hot 🥵, the service it is also very slow .

The albóndigas were dry and overcooked, the tomato sauce was not very tasty. The rice was very good. The wine was too acidic, couldn’t finish my cup.

Artemisa used to be one of my favorite places in Buenos Aires. The restaurant itself is beautiful and airy. The smell of freshly baked break always permeates the air. Their menu is filled with exciting and delicious plant-based options. Yet, every time I eat here, I leave disappointed.
Read moreThe menu features a variety of vegan and non vegan options. Staff can usually point you in the right direction--if they ever approach you that is. The service here is absolutely TERRIBLE. Slow, unfriendly, and unwelcoming. When I stopped here alone on two occasions, they actually forced me to share a table with strangers saying that I was alone and therefore did not warrant a full table to myself. I was fine with it until they brought a single bread basket and thus made me share the service I was paying for as well.
Sadly, the food has also deteriorated. My go-to option is the super proteica salad and their vegan apple pie. However, every time I go I feel like the salad gets worse. The first time I had it, it was absolutely delicious, but the last few times it has lacked flavor. Last time they actually brought me a very different salad (they probably messed up my order) that was quite bland and unexciting. Their apple pie suffers from the same situation as does their homemade bread. I once also tried their vegan chocolate cake and found it way too sweet--I couldn't eat it.
Overall, it's a nice spot, but lately less and less worth it. Especially given that service is slow and unfriendly. There are better spots nearby, don't waste your time or money

I came by myself and even though they were full got me my own table as soon as they could while I enjoyed a glass of wine outside their windows. I also got great service. When I came back a second time several days later, they remembered which glass of wine I had ordered and asked if I wanted the same.

The place is really beautiful and trendy but as for a vegetarian restaurant they did little effort in changing the dishes to a vegan dish, we've asked for a example to change 2 tapas from another tapas menu so that it will all be vegan but they told us that the owner doesn't allow to change a thing. So at the end even the cherry tomatoes came with a cheese next to it against our will. The food itself is tasty and our waiter was charming and pleasant, but it was too pricey and not so vegan friendly as we hoped.

Muy rica! Y la limonada también, excelente, nos pedimos una jarra.

Not much for Vegans - Edit
I was disappointed to find only one Vegan option at this Vegetarian restaurant. The free bread that was served was gummy and came with a tasteless dip. I loved the vibe and the staff was wonderful. I really wanted to love it .

I went to Artemisia in March 2012 and after searching for it on a Monday discovered they are closed on Mondays. I returned on a Thursday night with 4 meat-eaters in tow! The bread was lovely and the ambience very welcoming. As we were all english-speaking it helped that they had an english version of the menu, which other places didn't have. I had the quinoa croquettes, nice crunchy little pieces with accompaniments that filled me up. I was concerned for my meat-eating compatriots as that night there was only one meat dish on the menu- salmon I think. But they were more than satisfied by the veg options and enjoyed the veg ravioli, fresh mixed salads and the polenta lasagne even drew admiration from one with a french-gourmet cooking background. The service was good and we drank organic wine that was quite palatable. The meat-eaters said it was a welcome relief from the daily steak that Argentina has on offer and I was just happy to be somewhere where I was spoilt for choice for a change!

Our favorite restaurant in BA! - Edit
We have been living in BA for six months, and have eaten at many of the restaurants on the Happy Cow list. However, we keep coming back to Artemisia, which we love for the diverse menu, the beautiful surroundings and ambiance, and the friendly owner and staff. We have tried both Artemisia locations, and they both are nice, but we prefer the beautiful setting of the Gorriti location. The menu is the same at each location. The menu is virtually 100% vegetarian, with only one or two fish dishes, so you have many interesting choices. There are specials and a menu of the day as well. Our absolute favorite is the lentil burger (great patty, bun and sauce, with side of potatoes and salad), but the eggplant milanesa sandwich also is excellent, the quinoa crocantes are good, and there are many good salads. We did not like the fish dish or the lasagna (not your conventional tomato sauce-based lasagna) as much. Read moreThe ambience is quintessential BA, in our opinion -- huge windows, classic BA corner, a cute interior courtyard plus limited outdoor seating as well. The interior is very airy and attractive. They play great music. They make a wonderful selection of baked bread and other goods, and you receive a generous sampling of the bread with your meal. Nice place to go even just for coffee. They serve food all day, which is a welcome relief from other BA restaurants that only serve lunch or dinner during certain limited hours. Certainly our favorite restaurant in BA, and really one of the very best vegetarian restaurants we have been to anywhere!
