Authentisch arabisches Restaurant.

Empanadas - Edit
We visited this place with two omnivores, who despite their first impression, did enjoy it. We ordered the Azeitona-Mazza to share with everyone, then we had the Kibba plate, the Borgol plate, Kibba Bel Tahina and apple cinnamon empanada as a dessert. According to the waiter everthing was vegan and in general they offer to veganize the lacto-ovo-vegetarian dishes for vegans. The food was good. The dessert was quite sweet (maybe good to share ;-))
Read moreThe place itself has an oriental decorated interior with a room where you sit on the floor (no shoes allowed) but normal tables and seating in the main eating room. Not a place where you go for fine dining, it's more rustic with its own charm, but in any case the food was good and the waiter was friendly, he prepared the things we didn't manage to eat for take away.
We would visit again, especially since our two omnivores were fine with the food, something that rarely happens even in omnivore restaurants.
Pros: friendly staff

I must say not the most amazing food, but surprisingly good for the low prices and good atmosphere. Sitting on the floor in the one corner of the restaurant feels so authentic.

oh wow! so much more than falafel! - Edit
had an amazing lunch here! the menu is huge and there’s a lit if interesting, different things available, so you don’t have to stick with falafel!
Read moreordered lentil soup and a kibba plate. we were two people and shared everything and it was plenty!
soup was very nice, very thick and creamy.
i LOVED the kibbas! i’ve never eaten those before and the crispness and lovely veg filling were overwhelming!
everything on the kibba plate was great, the beetroot seasoned with cinnamon really stuck out though! there was also some bulgur, two spinach dishes, lentils, salad, mushrooms and sesame sauce. altogether served with turkish bread.
cosy, little place with plenty of seating. there’s also an area where to dine sitting on the ground. would definitely visit again when in hamburg!
Pros: choice!!! HUGE variety, great taste, cosy atmosphere

good food - Edit
oriental snack and fast food in an international atmosphere and a location, where the police sometimes run behind some people in black clothes while you eat around your corner. Really fair prices, fresh food and uncomplicated, friendly, with old low-budget furniture and oriental music.

Simple and good, par excellence - Edit
Authenticity ain't everything - and that's coming from someone who lived for years in the Middle East. Anyone familiar with "traditional" falafel will know this isn't the place to find that...but that's a good thing.
Read moreThey make sort of a wrap stuffed with their version of falafel along with whatever "antipasti" you see fit to deposit in it (all prepared fresh & on display in their cold case). It's actually really tasty and satisfying, even more so for a just a few bucks. Big servings, delicious food, and you can sit, eat, and have a beer, while chatting with their charming staff.
They have other offerings as well. Best you drop by and have a look.
Pros: Just plain good, Inexpensive food

A big let down - Edit
Used to go here very often, until I realized that the owner treats his employees terribly. There is always a "hiring" sign posted, people seems to constantly quit. The food is pretty good, but the portions are small, and the service is extremely slow. If you want a good falafel, check out "Falafelstern"!
