Basic, but delicious. - Edit
I had a hard time finding vegan options in this area in CDMX (Centro Historico). I was not expecting much from Azul, but I was pleasantly surprised 🙌🏼
Read moreThe vegan options are vegan-by-subtraction.. you would omit any dairy or eggs from a vegetarian dish to make it vegan. So not exactly pathbreaking lol... Still, my food was fresh, delicious and quite satisfying. The waitstaff spoke English, understood vegan, and provided us with English menus.
I tried the Guacamole Clasico, which was really good. For entrees I tried the Tamalito de Chaya and Esparragos - both delicious. The entrees are small and i had to order two of them for a full meal. #Veganuary
Pros: Beautiful upscale ambience in a historic hotel

there were only 4 vegetarian options and only 2 vegan options, one of which is guacamole and they said they could not make any changes to any dishes to make the vegan.
