Hotel and food - Edit

The hotel was beautiful, and the pool was awesome ! Everyone in the hotel was friendly.
The three course menu was very good. We drank some nice local wine and beer.
I recommand this place.

Little Paradise - Edit

Consider staying here, the vegan dinner alone would be totally worth it (Flowers to Tanja). But also the nicest staff, beautiful rooms and a wonderful hidden area to explore. I spent 3 nights there, highly recommended.

Märchenhaft - Edit

Immer wieder eine Freude im Hotel Balatura unterzukommen. Wir überlegen uns schon immer währenddessen wann wir das nächste Mal kommen können. Der neue Pool ist traumhaft. Das Essen immer sehr ausgewogen und sehr sehr sehr lecker. Die Gastfreundschaft von allen ist unbezahlbar. Das ganze Hotel ist in einem klaren Stil. Das Frühstück jeden Tag etwas Neues.

Pros: Vegan jederzeit möglich , Pool , Ruhige Lage

Awesome! - Edit

A little pricy stays, but the environment is fantastic, lots of plants and shade and traditional rock houses which makes the rooms nice and cool. There is a very cosy outside dining area. The staff is great, very helpful and accommodating.

Every day a unique dinner is served made out of local produce. We ate a rosemary potato with fried zucchini and vegan feta, and a hummus platter with salads and a beetroot patty, with a blueberry chocolate mousse for desert. All dishes were fantastic, tasty and with interesting gourmet flavours. Dinner time is arranged ahead of time for each guest.

This is a vegetarian hotel, but each meal is cooked separately and the staff is very happy to make it vegan. For instance, they used vegan feta for our dish instead of “real” cheese.

My only complaint is that the shower uses a vintage kind of separate hot and cold water valves where you have to mix them manually, and the water pressure kept going up and down. Maybe that’s part of the vintage charm though. :)
