So good! - Edit
They have several vegan options here, and they all look so good! After going back and forth between some things, I got the vegan biscuit sandwich and the cauliflower grits, and it was divine!

True Hot Vegan Brunch - Edit
Don’t you hate it when you go to brunch as a vegan, and you only have 1-2 sad options? Well, Bearcat looked out for us vegans—thank you! We had zero complaints about the food. The creme sauce on the vegan potatoes was fantastic. I could not finish the two blueberry pancakes, which tasted homemade. The best part of the breakfast was the Rose Latte. Ahhh, it was heavenly with the food.
Read moreThis place will satisfy all dietary restrictions and truly let you dig in on brunch. We went an hour after they opened on a weekend to avoid brunch lines.
Pros: Great Vegan Options, Drinks to enjoy w/brunch, Rose Latte
Cons: Service charge to use credit card, 20% gratuity automatically added to the bill, No Reservations

Truly incredible vegan food - Edit
Came here for vegan breakfast and left full, satisfied, and ready for more. Not just once, but twice!
Read moreThe vegan bearcat is one of the best vegan breakfasts I've ever had. It was flavorful and unique, with an unmistakable New Orleans flare. The house vegan sausage is far better than most I've had and definitely better than an "out of the packaging" vegan sausage.
If you add a pancake (and you should), I'd start at just one. The pancakes are unexpectedly massive in the best way possible. I love a huge breakfast, but even I couldn't finish the second pancake when I ordered a short stack instead of just one additional pancake. If you're feeling adventurous, get the blueberry pancake!
Staff here were all very friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place to everyone (vegans and omnivores alike) without hesitation and I'm counting down the days until I get back.

Delicious vegan options! - Edit
I had a breakfast sandwich that was very rich and delicious with cold brew. I took the last vegan muffin for breakfast the next day. The next day the muffin was still absolutely delicious and fresh. Menu items are well marked and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. The atmosphere is very nice as well.

Worth the wait - Edit
You will probably wait 30 mins to over an hour for a table on a Saturday, but it was worth it, and you can still order drinks while you wait. Everyone was super friendly and accommodating for our group (including a 8-month old baby). I was the only vegan so it was perfect for the others in my group. The breakfast biscuit was delicious- they used Just Egg and their own house made vegan patty which was seasoned so well! My only complaint- We ordered the shishito peppers as an appetizer which is labeled as vegan on the menu and it came out with what looked (and according to my group) tasted like butter. The restaurant itself was beautiful and if it wasn’t so hot we would have enjoyed sitting outside in the outdoor courtyard. We paid $6 for 2-hours of street parking about one block away. I highly recommend this place, especially for groups with mixed dietary preferences.

Fresh , tasty and the manager rocks - Edit
So this place is jumping… expect a long wait. I think it was worth the wait. Food was yummy overall. The table next to us had a complainer, who was going on and on about one thing or another, so the manager comped our bill to give us the friends and family discount.

Walked around, from front go left, then turn right, then right into the alley, then on right can enter through sliding wooden gate into beautiful plant filled very large patio.

Appreciative for the vegan options - Edit
I got the small plate of vegan potatoes and my spouse got the vegan breakfast burrito with a side of breakfast potatoes and it seemed like a similar amount of food. I loved mine! He said his was good, but for the price would recommend what I got instead.

Cool spot - Edit
Nice vibe here and they have several vegan options on the menu. This will be on my list to hit any time I’m in NOLA. Had coworkers join me here every morning we were there and they even tried/liked some of the vegan options.
Read moreThe Vegan Ranchero dish is super tasty with a touch of spice. Be sure to get hot sauce if you like to kick the heat up. Loaded with black beans, tofu scramble and avocado. The vegan pancakes are top notch (a favorite for my coworkers). The Mushroom Toast is a fantastic, savory dish that I will start trying to make at home.

Deserves 5 stars - Edit
I cannot recommend this place enough - if you are looking for vegan food in New Orleans you MUST come by here for breakfast/brunch/lunch. The food was amazing, or server was super kind and gave great recommendations. They even gave us a free vegan muffin because they were closing up for the day and didn’t want to throw it out. Went with non vegan friends who were also amazed by the place. The food. The drinks. The atmosphere. Just come here you won’t regret it.

Nettes Personal - Essen versalzen und verbrannt. - Edit

Get the pancakes - Edit
I love a good fluffy blueberry pancake and these were perfect. The blueberry syrup that comes with the short stack was delicious. We also enjoyed the tofu scramble. The potatoes were out of this world. The black bean sausage tasted more like a black bean burger patty than sausage, but still good. I also had their peach paradiso tea which was yummy.
Read moreWorth the wait. Get there early. Though since we only had a party of 2, we were able to be seated in only 7 mins instead of the 30 they said when we put our name down. The food is worth waiting for an hour though!

Loved the vegan brunch I had! Would love to return and try more of the options. The vegan pancakes were SO fluffy! And their blueberry lavender mint lemonade was delicious. Note that they do not accept reservations, so just plan for a bit of a wait, but it was worth it!

There was a 20 minute wait for two on a Sunday morning, but this place deserved the crowd. There were plenty of vegan options, including delicious pancakes! I didn’t love my rancheros, but fortunately my boyfriend’s breakfast was huge so I ate plenty.

Amazing!! A good place for all! - Edit
We had a group with vegans, omnivores, and someone with celiac disease and Bearcat was able to satisfy us all! Not just satisfy, but we all agreed it was the best breakfast of the trip. The vegan pancakes are the best pancakes I've had out, hands down. Fluffy and delicious. I get tired of tofu scramble but this one was very tasty. They had house-made black bean "sausage" - while the texture wasn't so hot, I'm not a fan of the impossible type fake meats so if you're like me you will enjoy. Multiple options for plant-based, and also gluten-free such as gf pancakes. And wonder of wonders, their bloody mary is made with vegan worcestershire sauce!!! So everyone can enjoy! If you don't like to wait, get there early. I will definitely return and highly recommend it!

Vegan blueberry pancakes! Tofu “egg” scramble! Black bean “sausage”! Got a vegan blueberry muffin to go and it was just a fresh the next morning in the hotel! It’s rare to find a place with delicious food for all but my carnivore 1 raved about the shrimp scallops and grits for days!

Must try visiting Nola - Edit
Was worth the 01:45 hr wait I had the Wild Mushroom Katsu Sandwhich, the Breakfast Potatoes, & the Blueberry pancake. My partner had the Vegan Bearcat (Tofu Scramble, Black Bean Sausage, Breakfast Potatoes, Cauliflower “grits”, & Blueberry Lavender Mint Lemonade). It was all very good but the potatoes OMG. I tasted his lemonade and it was bomb too. Go Early not later lol.
