inoffensive - Edit
Here’s an improved version of your review:
Read moreBento, like many chains in the UK and US, offers safe but uninspiring options that are unlikely to offend anyone’s taste buds. They do have a few vegan choices, so I decided to try the tofu curry bowl and a side of gyoza. The curry bowl, though generous with tofu, was an unappealing dark brown and lacked visual appeal. Unfortunately, the gyoza didn’t fare much better—bland, and far from what I’d expect from authentic gyoza. While it's a convenient option when you're on the go, and the staff are friendly, the overall experience is about as Japanese as The Vapor’s!

Have vegetarian options - Edit
It's a non vegetarian Japanese cafe that offers vegetarian options eg. Vegetarian buns, Glutinous Rice Dumplings, Miso Soup, Bento tofu rice with mixed beans. A place for a quick fix meal.

Cons: Not much vegetarian options

it's alright - Edit
The food is pretty good here, but nothing super special or groundbreaking, and the portion sizes are rather small considering what you pay for it. It’s alright.

Trendy wee sushi place with a decent range of vegan options - Edit
I got a couple of small dishes but they also have decent sized poke/salad bowls that look really filling.
Read moreThey have a good range of vegan options which are very clearly labelled.
Nice atmosphere with friendly staff and plenty of space to sit even at lunchtime.
Prices aren't too bad considering it's a sushi bar in this location. And if you are a student they offer a discount.
I'll definitely be back.
Pros: Lots of vegan options, Lots of seating, Food is really fresh
Cons: Vegan options are next to fish

Convenient & Tasty - Edit
Take-away style Japanese food, including a variety of vegan sushi and sides like miso, bao buns and gyoza. Only downside is that everything is packaged in plastic- convenient for taking away but a tad wasteful for sitting in to dine

Delicious food and Dog Friendly - Edit
Really enjoyed our boa buns, miso and avocado maki. Also chuffed they allowed dogs in as very few restaurants that serve Asian food do nearby it seems.

Cool beans - Edit
A leisurely stroll down South Bridge led to an unplanned visit to Bento for some red bean mochi. This was later consumed back at the hotel and was very tasty indeed. Lots of clearly marked vegan options and friendly staff too.

Dissapointed - Edit
I'm 100% certain there was some kind of meat in my supposedly vegan dim sum which really is making me feel sick... The miso soup was stone cold too really dissapointed and really wouldn't trust it as vegan

Love the Dumplings - Edit
I absolutely love their dumplings!! I also had the miso soup, vegan bao and edame beans. It seems very authentic and you always see people in there but I never had to wait for a table either. Perfect if you want to grab a bite and not wait too long. Strongly recommended!!

Lovely, but... - Edit
Cute little place and amazing gyoza. The staff was lovely BUT everything comes in plastic. Every dish (even if you eat in) is wrapped in plastic.

Quick tasty food - Edit
I came here today and had the vegan miso soup, bao and gyoza. It was all very tasty and the fast food takeaway style set up made it a good choice for a quick meal at the Fringe.
