Beautiful garden, ok food - Edit
Lots of cheese on the pizza. Gorgeous outdoor garden. Hummus was excellent.

Lovely place, some vegan options - Edit
Lovely cafe.. would give more stars if it had more vegan options but otherwise no complaints! The vegan options are clearly labeled on the menu. Has a really nice outdoor patio that’s dog friendly! Had the vegan black bean burger and it was tasty.

Cool Outside Seating - Edit
Not many vegan options but staff is very willing to adjust dishes for you. Love the black bean taco salad sans the sour cream and cheese with extra salsa as a substitution. Lots of local food ingredients and friendly staff.

Limited, but excellent - Edit
Agree with the members that indicate that the vegan options on their menu are limited: This is very true. They are excellent options, however; and vegetarians will doubtless be well served. The veg burger was excellent, and staff very accommodating. If I lived in the area rather than just being a visitor, I'd be there often-- even if I ordered the same few items over and over.

Out Door Seating! - Edit
The out door seating is amazing! the town run weaves throughout the seating area and there is a little path that snakes around the tables and leads you down a rustic staircase to a lower seating area that seats two table. at night is the best time to go, their is music inside and the outdoor atmosphere is unlike any other! Night is my favorite time to go because the lighting is perfect. they have strings of lights lighting up the patios.

There are a large percentage of people in Shepherdstown who care about where their food comes from and the local restaurants cater to vegetarians and vegan pretty well. most items on Blue moons menu is easy to alter to a vegan or vegetarian option plus they have vegetarian options.

Not a lot of vegan choices - Edit
This restaurant does have a vegetarian menu, but most vegetarian dishes have cheese or non-vegan sauces. They can omit the topping, but then the food does not have much flavor. Plus, they were out of black beans when I went, which further limited my choices. It's worth a shot if you're in Shepherdstown, but not worth going out of your way otherwise.
