One of my favourite places in Christchurch. Great food. Good prices (especially at lunch time - don’t order online, order in person or by phone for $12 curries). Only negative is that while the North Indian dishes are well marked on the menu as to what’s vegan, the South Indian ones and the entrees aren’t at all - please mark what’s vegan or can be vegan on the whole menu!

Delicious curries - Edit
We loved our vegan curries and roti. Staff were friendly but seemed a bit unsure when my friend asked about allergens. Thankfully no allergic reactions ensued and food was delicious. Portions were on the small size so we ordered extra (or maybe we were just very hungry). No vegan sweets, but we were more interested in curries anyway.

Tried a couple of vegetarian and vegan snacks among the three of us. North Indian main course options clearly marked as vegan, and most south Indian options can be made vegan (I believe using oil instead of ghee).

Very nice restaurant, really great servings sizes. Many vegan options. Little disappointed that the thali plate couldn’t be made vegan but really enjoyed our meals!!

The restaurant was very authentic. Very cool vibes. It is basically a Indian sweet shop. Only one of the sweets was vegan but it was excellent. We had dinner and we had a lot of vegan options. We had a very good alu gobi and a pretty decent thali. We were the only ones seating in the restaurant but it didn't feel empty because people kept coming in bying sweets. The service was good and the price was fair. Recommended.

Only three vegan options. We ordered the aloo gobi and veg korma. The korma tasted off to us, like the coconut was sour. The waiter said the chef said this is how it's supposed to taste yet came back later and offered us another dish but by then we had finished our other food.

The place had a cosy feel with a traditional Indian vibe. The man who served me was really helpful and patient too!
