Delicious food, extensive menu - Edit
A bit out of town but SO worth going here. Brown poodle makes delicious food and has a very extensive menu, from local to Western dishes and some fusion options. Their pepperoni Thai pizza is out of this world. Very delicious. Hope to come back to try more!

Service is good, staff is friendly and the place is very comfortable. Even at 4.30 pm it was quite busy with many tables filled up. Popular place for a good reason. Payment by cash or qr, card only possible if you spend over 50RM.

Came back for breakfast:
- dirty latte. Absolutely recommend but rather small
- mushroom katsu: very delicious and would recommend.

Soft pumpkin seed & oat bun, thicc grilled housemade omni plant-based meat and hericium mushroom patty, caramelised button mushrooms, umami black pepper gravy, melted vegan cheddar cheese, lettuce, sliced tomato, cucumber pickles, crispy fries, and balsamic salad with cherry tomatoes.

I had lunch here yesterday and breakfast this morning. There are so many options that I'd almost come back every day, but I'm only here for three days. They really have everything, from broccoli pizza to granola bowls. The food was amazing, and the staff was super friendly.

This place is amazing! Wish I'd come here earlier in my trip! Open from 8am-10pm, much better hours than the places in the middle of Georgetown. HUGE menu and the sweetest staff. I had a set value meal of burger, soup and a drink. It was all delicious. I then had the lightest cake I've ever had and a Coco poodle latte - definitely a fun drink 😍😍 might squeeze in a visit on my last day tomorrow....

The best vegan food I had in a really long time - the staff is super friendly, we experienced no waiting time and everything from drinks, snacks, breakfast as well as dinner is exceptional good and well-seasoned. We stayed 5 days in Penang and visited it 4 times. Thank you! 🥰

Food was fantastic. Simple and easy to order via QR menu. Had the rendang and a slice of mixed berry cheesecake. You don’t always get good vegan mains and desserts but Brown Poodle has both.

Really lovely little restuarant. Very busy and we had to wait for table but it was worth it. The burgers were some of the best we had and the pizza was great too. Cant fault the mains at all. Didn't love the tiramisu unfortunately as it was quite dry and they serve to go in a plastic box. My only real criticism was the service, ordering of food is by qr code which is slow (table service would be much quicker). We ordered desserts to come out after but we had to remind the staff we ordered them and despite the staff walking around looking a bit bored, it wasn't busy then, no one cleared our table (after mains) until we asked, which was quite a while. Despite this the food was so great it's still 5 stars.

I wanted to try everything on the menu but went for 2 recommended dishes - the standard burger with mushroom patty and the Rendang baked rice. Both were delicious, the burger patty was 2 super crisp mushrooms in a soft charcoal bun. Never had anything like the Rendang baked rice, the vegan cheese was perfectly melted and there was so much flavour in the dish. Even the salad dressing was divine.

We came here for dinner and for breakfast the next day and they handily open at 8am. I had the mushroom cutlets with black pepper gravy and mint sauce and our lass had a burger which were so delicious! The choose your own big breakfast was fantastic and I could have eaten hash browns for ever! Put this place on your go to list!

You have to come here when you’re in Penang, the menu has a crazy variety at a reasonable price. I love the aesthetic of the cafe, we went here twice but wish we had more time so we could try everything. The cheese foam drink was the best, the rendang with cheese with also delicious, pizza was tasty and tiramisu was amazing! Can’t say a bad thing about it.

A lovely cafe and a perfect spot for breakfast, lunch and dinner. They have a wide range of western classics (steak and chips, fish and chips, burgers, pizzas etc) to Asian staples such as rendang, Nasi Lemak and noodle dishes. They have a great drinks and desert menu (look out for the cheese topped drinks and the tiramisu!). It’s incredibly popular with locals so you know it’s great.

Delightful Dining at the Vegan Haven - Edit
I had such a lovely lunch at Brown Poodle today! I absolutely adore that it's now a fully vegan spot. The menu has so many options, which I really appreciate. This was my first visit since they relocated, and I must say, I'm loving the new place. Plenty of parking, and the decor is charming. While the food I ordered was tasty, I couldn't help but wish I had chosen something different. Nonetheless, I'm definitely looking forward to returning in the future!
