La mejor hamburguesa que me he comido en mucho tiempo - Edit
La hamburguesa, brutal. Sólo tengo un pero, y es que las papas fritas estaban muy aceitosas y algunas se quedaron sin cocinar del todo.

Great burgers and Poutine - Edit
This was a great find! There were lots of burger options with different patty choices and toppings, but the vegan poutine was the absolute best! I've never been anywhere where it was offered in a vegan version, so this was a wonderful surprise. I did, however, think that the menu was a bit overpriced for what it was, but I would still go there again!

Phenomenal - Edit
Great service and great food! I had their Fiance Burger with the Impossible patty, a shake with Almond Bailey's, and a sundae. Highly recommend them all, but perhaps not at the same time as I was stuffed afterward.

Great Gyro - Edit
I was looking for a quick bite in Old Montréal, Happy Cow pointed me in the direction of Burger Fiancé, (I've been to the West Island location many times before they closed). I had the Gyro, potato wedges, and a glass of wine. Very good! I'd love to have it again! Staff were awesome!

Vegan Burger Joint - Edit
Burger Fiancé is a great vegan burger joint next to old town Montreal. They offer a variety of burgers, salads, drinks, starters, and milkshakes. We tried the cheese burger with a house patty and kale caesar with fried chik'n. Both were fantastic! I really loved the kale caesar, but honestly wish there was more kale since there were almost too many toppings. Overall a can't miss if you're in Montreal and in the mood for a good burger.

Disappointing - Edit
Came here after reading it's a place to go for vegans in the city so my hopes were high. I had the truffle burger with fries and mozzarella sticks. The cheese in the mozza sticks didn't really resemble mozzarella at all and the burger was just fine. The fries were great though! I'd definitely recommend this place for cocktails, I had the cherry martini which was yummy! Service was also great!

Family's favorite - Edit
This was our family's (2 adults, 9 yo, 2yo) favorite spot this trip. We visited twice. It was really great for containing the littlest and entertaining her by window watching that they have tables in a semi contained area by the window. Lots of options. The 9yo loved the burger fiance and said the strawberry milkshake was the best he's ever had. Everyone loved the waffle fries. We also tried and enjoyed the gyro. Bummed that we didn't get to try the brownie sundae- next time!
Read moreBurgers are available as impossible or "house patty" which is more of a whole foods, true "veggie" burger.

I liked the burger and the staff was super kind, but I found the food a bit oily, maybe it is just my european taste about american food

Exceptional - Edit
Loved this place! Truffle burger was super tasty and had a great mix of textures with the onion ring and sauces. I'm glad we opted for the house patty. It had a really nice texture and flavor and was not dry at all.
Read moreThe poutine fiancé was huge, hearty, and full of flavor, with juicy and crispy seitan.
The unexpected star of our dinner was the kale caesar salad. Nicely massaged kale, covered with a blend of "bacon" bits and capers. We were scraping the bowl!
The berry and pistachio shake was also really good. We didn't catch our young server's name, but she was great and answered all our questions on quebeçois culture, too!
Pros: Many styles of burgers, Many types of poutine

Marry me, Burger Fiancé!
Read moreLove that there is a dedicated vegan spot close to Old Montreal that brings out the comfort food love in all of us.
Burgers here are massive and use an in-house patty or you can sub for impossible meat for an additional charge. I had to try their Spicy Chick-en Sandwich ($21) which uses cajun shiitake mushroom for its burger, along with vegan ranch, lettuce, tomatoes, red onions, and maple syrup. The burger was fire but definitely a lot to consume even in just one sitting. The waffle fries included were a great touch as well.
The decor inside was super cute. If it wasn't so busy during lunch, I would have considered eating inside while the food was still fresh.
So while the prices are definitely higher than I'd like them, I can't deny that the quality is there and absolutely a smashing burger option.

The best poutine I’ve ever eaten. - Edit
I couldn’t come to Montreal and not search for vegan poutine! So pleased to have found this lovely vegan restaurant where I devoured a delicious simple cheeseburger and bowl of poutine. I will definitely be back when I’m next here. Great service also!

Delicious but service is…. - Edit
Regular fries and mozzarella sticks were out, but that’s okay because they gave us waffle fries instead. I had the poutine and the fiancé burger. Both were INCREDIBLE. but the place was severely understaffed. Our drinks took an hour to come to us, i watched my martini sit there for 45 minutes. One of our servers was very sweet and apologetic, while the other one was really grumpy. I don’t blame her, the place was busy! I want to try everything on the menu but I’ll do take out!

Okay - Edit
Burger and fries were okay, nothing special, vanilla milkshake was quite thin and not ideal texture, but nonetheless just okay. They were busy so seemed like service was a bit rushed.

We ended up here as Bvrger was closed for renovation. The burgers all come with the option of an Impossible patty or a homemade chickpea other protein mix patty. We had the Impossible patties on the regular cheeseburger with waffle fries (4.5⭐️/5), the truffle burger (3.5⭐️/5) with regular seasoned fries (which I preferred to the unseasoned waffle fries), and a vanilla milkshake (3.5⭐️/5). It was good, but not the best vegan burger place I’ve ever tried. The staff was friendly.

Not just your basic vegan burger… - Edit
Yes, they have a standard vegan cheeseburger with the usual toppings, but they also have a wide array of gourmet burgers. My husband got the truffle burger and I got the Mamma Mia. I’m gluten free as well and they were very knowledgeable and accommodating, subbing my panko mozzarella for a gluten free option and the regular bun for a gluten free one. Much to my surprise and delight, their poutine is also gluten free and an option to substitute for regular fries (which come with their burgers). They were out of the Impossible Burgers, so got their house burger and it was delicious…everything was delicious! My husband said it was the best meal he’d had in Montreal! My only slight criticism is that my burger came with sun dried tomatoes, which were left whole and, when biting into the burger were hard to bite through and I ended up pulling them out whole (would be better cut up to enjoy with every bite). Still thoroughly enjoyed my meal and would definitely recommend!

soso - Edit
we ended up at the Pointe Claire location for lunch because Copper Branch was closed (permanently it turned out). My friend was ecstatic about her meal and wants to go back (not a vegan but had a vegan meal obviously). I had a really sloppy burger that was messy to eat and pretty bland even with the dripping sauce. The fries were also mushy. I had a mocktail that could have been fruit juice. Plus it was pricy for what we had. I’m not keen on going back.
