Everything about tofu :) - Edit
If you are a tofu lover, should drop by here. The menu is all about tofu, in more western cuisine style. It will be interesting if they can explore tofu menu in Asian style.
Read moreI had the eggless egg salad as didn’t want to fill my tummy for my lunch which was scheduled in less than one hour later.
The tofu egg didn’t fail my expectation. It was good. I also tried the gluten free cookie, it’s not overly sweet. I bought two cookies and the blueberry crumble muffin for takeout.

So the place is up the hills and kinda outta the way, but trust me! You should definitely check it out, nice little spot, friendly service, tasty menu/choices, I had the tofu banhmi and was excellent!

Really cute restaurant just next to Namsan Park, it is a great place after a walk there. Every dish incorporates tofu. I got the VCLT wrap, it was so delicious ! The sauce was so flavourful, and I liked how they put nacho chips in the wrap, it gives a crunchy texture to it. The wrap is so filling, I was not even hungry for dinner ! (But maybe my stomach is just small 😅). Highly recommend it !

They make nice large wraps without rice. The tempeh tofu wrap was good. The bytofu wrap was not great as the “pickled carrot” was too sweet and ended up dominating the flavor of the whole wrap. The sunrise bowl was also tasty although I thought the dressing could have been healthier.

By tofu was an amazing experience! I can not recommend it enough. Since it was nice and sunny outside I could sit on the beautiful patio outside (Namsan tower views included). There are some blankets in case you get cold.
Read moreI got the sunrise bowl and it was one of the best dishes I had so far. Delightful fresh salad with quino and Kimut and some red onions, beans and corn! It comes with baked Tofu (not fried!) in a sweet & sour sauce as well with broccoli and some vegan mayo. I love the fact that the dressing is on the side! It was delicious by the way very flavorful and not oily at all.
It said smoked tofu but thankfully it’s not the strong smoked tofu I know from back home - it’s just a very well marinated tofu 💝
A very refreshing lime - dressing! I love that they don’t serve rice but a healthier version with quinoa! Also it’s only small and more veg which I appreciate a lot.
Very friendly service. They offer fresh water and have a fridge with some salads or drinks for take out. I can’t wait to try their wraps and then Banh! The wraps look so great with lots of veggies and lettuce!
Come here early because they are very popular and might sell out!
Update: I went back for the VCLT wrap: tempeh and tofu with homemade sauce and lettuce, cucumber and nachos! Some jalapeños as well. It was stunning! I can only recommend everyone to go here. Will be back soon - it’s so delicious and service is very friendly

Simple filling quick meals OPEN for breakfast!! - Edit
Took me a long time to come because it is sort of out of the way for me and I knew they were small, so getting seat might be a problem. Finally made it here to have a really good tofu wrap. Stuffed with tofu slices and also stuffed with greens. It tasted really good. Will not hesitate to come back and try other menu items.

This is a bistro-like place with a couple of light meals as well sweet treats: They have sandwiches, wraps and bowls, most of which feature either tofu or tempeh. For dessert, there are a couple of house-made cakes as well as cookies. Their classic cookies are also available at Shop Right, a vegan store in the neighborhood that is run by the same owners.

Definitely one of the best vegan restaurants in Seoul. Personally my favourite. One thing I really love about ByTofu is that they try to get out the vegan message in different ways which I think is so important. The food is also so good. The sunrise bowl is my favourite, SO delicious!😋😍

I always liked By Tofu but it was tiny. During the pandemic, it felt too small for my taste. Now after the renovation, the place is bigger and it’s nice. And the food is always great. Their eggless sandwich is so fulfilling. 👍🏼

This is a great option for a fully vegan, pet-friendly restaurant. It was a very small space, so maybe not the place for a big group, but you can also order and pickup and eat somewhere else.
Read moreI was sad that gluten/yeast was in all of the dishes on the menu, but I was able to eat the majority of my food and definitely was a better option than any non-vegan place. I got the sunshine bowl and the tofu was amazing, paired with leafy greens that tasted amazing with soy-based mayonnaise.
I was sad they were out of all their desserts by 1:30ish when I got there. I really wanted to try their vegan gluten free selection.
Overall a great spot, especially if you are so not have any gluten intolerance. The food was amazing!!

My go-to spot in Seoul during my whole semester!!! - Edit
When I first found out about this small spot, I was so excited! I wasn't expecting to find anything vegan in Seoul at first so I was super thrilled that this place was also so close to me (3 minute walk)! At first I tried a few things, going once or twice per week, but I ended my semester by going there literally every single day, sometimes even multiple times a day! My favorite is their eggless salad, their byTOFU wrap, and when they had it, their KFC chicken made with cauliflower (to die for)!! Their baked goods are also super yummy, my favorite is their chocolate chip cookie. I always get their lattes as well (both normal and vanilla are amazing). On top of this, their place is super cute and family-owner, they make you feel at-home and immediately transported to a small kitchen filled with warmth and love. The owners are also the sweetest, they are truly more like friends than anything else! Their love for animals and all creatures is easily seen through the way they treat other humans and animals, as well as all the initiatives they participate in for animal liberation! I miss this restaurant so much, and would highly recommend this as a must-visit for anyone in this area! I can't wait to go back to Seoul just to taste their foods again!!!

Read moreByTofu has a lot of variety packed into a simple concept. You can choose between sandwiches and wraps for some of the options. The portions are large and filling. Each dish is balanced well and has fresh veggies.
Some of the dishes Im not a fan of. Two of them being the teriyaki bowl (too sweet) and the eggless sandwich (seriously tastes like egg) If you like egg this is a good choice for you. i enjoy the ByTofu wrap, BLT, and banh mi. The baked goods here are great. My favorite is the cookie.
Another plus is this one of the few restaurants in this country that open early. However, they sell out quickly, especially the baked goods.
