Korean
A cafe/manga reading library that serves vegan Korean shaved ice (bingsu) and has plant based milks for coffee. (Entrance can be confusing as it is a small dead end lane located within a market area.) Open Mon-Sun 11:00am-10:00pm.

Hidden gem in Mangwon Market - Edit
The matcha bingsu was very yummy, but the highlight for me was the cafe itself. It’s tucked into some random alley in Mangwon but it’s a delightful place. It seems to double as a manhwa café with little reading nooks. There are pop culture decorations all over the cafe’s 2 floors. Overall coming here was a delightful experience!

Cozy! - Edit
This place was a bit hard to find, it’s located on an alley inside Mangwon market. The cafe is super cute and cozy, the owner is also very friendly. The fruit waffles were delicious, a bit dry though..

A cool manhwa cafe with vegan drinks and waffles! The smoothie was delicious and the waffles weren’t too bad either.

I've been here so many times for the vegan Bingsu(shaved ice) and vegan drinks!! The owner is quite friendly and everything under the vegan menu is impressive. Totally recommended especially if you're a manga geek ;)

This is a Comic Book Café with plenty vegan options: drinks, waffles, bingsu and ramen!
Read moreThey now also have a self ramen station with one vegan ramen option. Super cool.
Their waffles and drinks are delicious, the atmosphere is chill and cozy. You can chill there for hours, reading your favorite comic books. Plus the owners are super friendly, helpful and dog friendly!
Just perfect.

Amazing place - Edit
I loved the location of this place. The worker was super nice. I got chocolate bingsu with soy milk (I’m not sure it’s vegan because I found out just recently that the Oreos here have milk- so double check on that!) but I loved the setup of this place- the little garden/area by the entrance is so cute. One of my favorite spots in Seoul.
Read moreI went again recently and was just as amazed at last time. I got the green tea bingsu which was very tasty and very sweet. I loved it. I also tried the rice waffles, which were interesting- but in a good way! They came with a side of whipped cream. Also, the mint choco latte was very good! Go here!!

One of the best cafes Ive ever been to in my life.
Read moreRegarding the menu, there are a variety of vegan bingsu flavors. My favorite is the green tea but oreo is also very good. The coffee and drinks here are all excellent.
The waffle is really unique as its made with actually whole pieces of rice. A unique texture and its just perfectly sweetened with some syrup, cinnamon, fresh fruits and cream.
The cafe itself is a huge beautiful hanok. There are seating areas outdoors which are mostly covered from the sunlight. Inside, especially upstairs you will find the walls covered in manga. All copies are in Korean ^^;;;;...
The owner here is incredibly kind and a talented barista. He seems to manage it by himself so if it gets crowded there could be a wait.

Bingsu season is on!!! - Edit
Nothing beats bingsu in hot summer days.. They have 6 different vegan bingsu options and I can’t wait to try them all. The cafe is quiet and pretty big, so it is also a good place to study or work.

Very lovely place and cosy and calm atmosphere. The vegan bingsu was really really tasty and so were the waffles, I could have it every day. And the matcha latte was one of the best I've had so far. Would've gone with 5 stars if it were 100% vegan.
Read moreWe came on a quiet afternoon and almost had the entire second floor to ourselves, with the exception of a boy reading comic books in one of the reading nooks..

Pros: Excellent options

Childhood hideout - Edit
What a cute and cozy cafe!
Read moreIt's like the imaginary hideout from your childhood: Waffles, ice cream and Bingsu and sweet drinks are available (many of which can be veganized) and there are comfy seats as well as bunkbed-like rooms for you to hang out. The bookshelves are filled with mangas (in Korean) and invite you to stay and read. The atmosphere is homy and peaceful.
The taste of food and drinks is home-made. Simple, rustic, hand-made and thankfully not too sweet.
The cafe is quite large: two stories and a small outdoor seating area.
Pros: Lots of vegan options

Lovely place - Edit
The vegan green tea bingsu was delicious and the atmosphere was very cozy. I went on a cold day but the heating was running inside which was great for eating bingsu. There are lots of mangas to read on the second floor but I didn’t get a chance to look around up there. Definitely want to go back and try other bingsu flavors!

Korean shaved ice is a summer treat and this place does an amazing job making vegan versions. The match bingsu was so good and oreo bingsu was amazing! They also had great coffee with plant milks.. and even decaf espresso drinks.
