Love it - Edit
This place has some great options for plant based eaters. Their signature dish is either mufungo/tostones/avocado stuffed. You can pick various stuffings, we choose veggies and two sides rice/beans and Chilean salad. We tried one of each they were all fabulous!

Good option for vegan and non vegan group - Edit
In Puerto Rico visiting family and we went here for lunch while walking around San Juan. Staff was very friendly and helpful with the menu, I got the Tostones Rellenos with vegetables and rice and beans and everything was delicious! My non vegan and Puerto Rican family enjoyed their food as well lol

Good in a pinch - Edit
We ducked in here after a day of sightseeing and it had just enough food for us. The veggie mix here is nothing special but there’s options to mix it up with 2 included sides.

Solid vegan options - Edit
I had the mofongo with vegetables, as well as the rice and beans with amarillos. The food was alright, but the sides did most of the heavy lifting.

Average at best - Edit
We came here for lunch early after being told there'd be a 45-minute wait the day prior. I got the tostones rellenos (stuffed plantain cups) and my parter got a fish dish. He enjoyed his but mine was pretty mediocre save for the rice and beans, which were great. The veggies were sad and a little tart for some reason, like they were canned or pickled or something. The plantain cups were flavorless. It's good that they have vegan options, but temper your expectations.

Vegan options - Edit
Had lunch here while visiting Old San Juan. Our server was helpful in choosing vegan options. I had the stuffed avocado, garden salad, and Cajun beans and rice.
Read moreThe beans and rice were very good. The avocado and salad were mediocre. The veggies were over cooked.
They do have fresh juice, which was amazing! I had the pineapple and it was really good.
Overall, it was an average meal, but it did the trick.

Subpar vegan options to be honest. Not very flavorful. There are better restaurants for cheaper

I recall this being my favorite thing I ate in San Juan. I know it’s not a fully vegan restaurant but the vegan offering was so delicious and local.

We got here right before the rush and immediately got a table. The waiter was very personable and friendly. We told him we were vegan and he told us what we could order. We ordered the stuffed avocado with veggies and guacamole with plantain chips. We also ordered mojitos. Everything was delicious and we will definitely be back.

Authentic Puerto Rican - Edit
Fresh authentic food, just choose the vegan options (though not labeled that way). We had one each of the vegetable stuffed into mofongo, avacado and tostones cups. The beans and rice side was the best! Fried plantains too.

Would give 5 stars if possible! - Edit
Cafe El Punto exceeded my expectations! This spot has several options for vegans including a vegan burger and tostones, avocado or mofongo stuffed with vegetables. Stuffed mofongo, avocado, and tostones all come with 2 sides that are all vegan. I got the mofongo made vegan stuffed with vegetables with the creole rice and beans and the fried sweet plantains sides. The food was AMAZING and the portions were large. I wish we would have come before our last night because we would have definitely eaten here more than once!
