Staff understand English, everything on menu is Vegan. Ordered a ham and vegetable sandwich, it supeisngly came with a salad. The salad tasted garden fresh, a refreshing salad. Salas has beet, onion, arugula, spouts, onion, carrots, red cabbage. Dressing was a olive oil and light Italian spice. Sandwich has Vegan ham, cucumber, romaine lettace.

Amazing! The aesthetic of the restaurant alone is one thing, but the food was incredible as well. Highly recommend the avocado open sandwich. The food was filling, each dish unique and high quality. We left feeling full but not heavy or oily which is incredible.

We had a tasty and healthy lunch here, it was nice to get some fresh veggies! We tried the avocado sandwich and open avocado sandwich - both came with a nice side salad! For dessert, we had the banana cake. Everything was delicious and clearly prepared with great care.

The Cafe is amazing! Definitely one of the best restaurants in Japan I've been to. The price for each dish is more than reasonable and every single bite was sooo delicious. You should definitely check it out if you're in Kyoto, so don't miss out. Unfortunately I couldn't eat more that day because I would've loved to try every dish on the menu. So I'll go back tomorrow:D

I didn't reserve but called on my way over to ask if there were seats (just one!). Really nice looking place with a shelf full of architecture and other photo books to browse while you wait or sip your coffee. I got the daily pasta (tomato and veg) and enjoyed it. Good size portions and an overall lovely experience. Will be back to try everything else!

Must visit for vegans in Kyoto. Service was amazing, food was divine. We were here every day during our visit for breakfast. I think it's a family owned business and they really want you to feel good. During our last day, the rum raisin ice cream was sold out so they gave us matcha and tea ice cream for free 😭

Sweetest people making wonderful food! - Edit
It was time for an energizing brunch and we found the perfect place, just around the corner from our hotel. The 2 ladies cooking and bringing us the food were adorable - so polite and nice! And the food was great too - a crispy multilevel sandwich with superfresh vegetables, mustard and ham, combined with a very well mixed and flavored salad. We then also tried the day‘s spaghetti dish with vegetables - a familiar taste, but with a unique touch of the restaurant: loved it! Will definitely come back here and I highly recommend the place if you are a vegan in Kyoto! ❤️

With being in the area of Cafe Gallery Sun and seeing the photos of their delicious cakes, I had to stop by! And I'm so glad I did. The chocolate cake was fudgey and dense without being too rich and was beautifully balanced by the fresh fruit. The staff were lovely and welcoming and the atmosphere is cosy - there are photos of the food hung up to help you with the impossible task of choosing what to order. Definitely stop by if you're in the mood for an afternoon pick-me-up!

This little cafe is brilliant. The food is amazing and the restaurant itself is so cozy. The pasta that we had (mushroom with vegetables and creamy sauce) was fantastic. The sauce was subtle and so tasty. The avocado sandwich was toasted and had a sauce on it that took it to the next level. Even the salad appetizer was so so tasty. Very very helpful staff. This was ten out of ten! Wish we were here longer so we could come again.

The space is lovely. The restaurant is located in a small street in what seems to be a refurbished machiya. The service is top notch, very attentive. During my stay here, I visited twice already, but I think it's becoming my go-to dinner spot. If you want a café where you can spend a few hours, this is it!

Beautiful Charming Café - Edit
This beautiful little café is situated on a quiet street and has a lovely, cozy interior with very warm, friendly staff.

We ordered the pasta of the day which was an elegant mushroom cream pasta and it was exceptionally delicious. It came with a starter salad and both dishes were beautifully presented with very fresh ingredients.
For dessert we tried the carrot cake and it was warm, spicy and artistically plated with dollops of cream, nuts and dried fruits.
Although the menu is limited, we loved the experience and would absolutely recommend it. We look forward to visiting again when we come back to Kyoto!

Not a big menu but what it does serves is very good. Fully vegan and the meat substitutes were close to what it's trying to resemble. Had one lady doing it all and still managed to pay each dish and customers a lot of attention
