No toilet, disappointment - Edit
I give 4 stars because the cakes certainly look delicious! This cafe can be recommended, in case you don't have to go to the toilet.
Read moreI was skating from Bonn to Cologne in the heat and looked forward to this cafe every kilometer.
Ha, I thought: Finally go to the toilet and refill my bottle with water.
But these two logical facilities turned out not to be available here at all.
Then it turned out that my banana cake had also been forgotten, which caused it to burn. (my photo is not representative, so I won't add it)
I only ate half of it (the crust was black) and wished I had never seen this place on Happy Cow.
No more questions were asked, the girl just disappeared.
So my experience was a 1, but that was also bad luck.
If I had spoken German instead of English, the communication might have gone better. Overall it's a cozy place and I suppose the staff can be very friendly as well. There were a lot of happy customers.

Ich bin so happy auf das Café Rotkehlchen gestoßen zu sein! Ich selbst lebe in Bayenthal und freue mich total ein rein-veganes Café um‘s Eck zu haben! Das Branding des Cafés ist ja schon super cute, aber wenn man dann noch das Essen probiert… 😍😍😍

I am torn what to thInk. I love the concept and that all desserts are vegan, but it’s way too much sugar in everything! I had a pumpkin spice latte (they also have cow milk still) which is seasonal. You can get your drink with oat or soy (but unfortunately also cow). The latte could be more hot and it also was a sugar bomb. They gave me some nussecke to try, but this as well was loaded with sugar. If you are here for sugar craving that’s your place, but if you aren’t, maybe order a savory dish instead. Staff nice, but music too loud and no comfy seats. Lots of options.
