The menu doesn’t offer a lot of soy and gluten free items. I asked my waitress if there was something special I could do and in a very rude manner replied the pad Thai or salads. She immediately walked away and I started thinking if I wanted the pad Thai. I decided why not since I was already there. As I was ordering, I asked if there were tomatoes in the dish and she replied yes. I currently can’t consume tomatoes and I felt so mad. It wasn’t even mentioned on the menu! It claimed to be a coconut-tahini sauce with absolutely no mention of tomatoes. Many other vegan restaurants in the area are more accommodating to special diets and I’m highly disappointed that CS doesn’t recognize this special need. I’m going to avoid Cafe Sunflower at all costs from now on.
