We chose CẢM ƠN based on the good reviews and were disappointed. The food is nothing special, it's the same at every other Vietnamese restaurant in Hamburg. The service is particularly bad and unfriendly. We were there an hour before closing time, got our food pretty quickly and wanted to finish drinking 10 minutes before closing time to pay. Suddenly the waitress stood next to us and even though we were drinking, she told us the amount of the bill without being asked. There were two other tables occupied in the store that she could have cashed in first. We'll never eat there again.

My fav vietnamese restaurant of Hamburg - Edit
Hamburg has a lot of vietnamese places, and I have tried many, but I've only brought people to Cam On! It is the best food, and for a very affordable price range in the area! The restaurant is cozy, the staff amazingly nice, and the amont of choice equally incredible.

We visited Cam On a few times and the people there are always very welcoming and nice.
Read moreThe food is also very good, although for the tapas section there are other Vietnamese vegan restaurants where you find a better selection and especially a better variety in the accompanying sauces and dips (as they only serve one sauce which is some kind of mayonnaise).
What really stands out here are the vegan duck and vegan chicken dishes and the bowls, which are really really tasty!
Overall, if you go for the full meal options I can really recommend Cam On. If you search for Vietnamese Tapas, there might be better options in town.

Besides the fact that the employee was friendly like from another space (she was doing fun about me but everybody as happy about it including me) the food was quite good. We had the vegan duck with peanut sauce and rice the pho with vegan beef.

Great food…. creative, fresh, tasty and the staff kindly asked for our preferences when it came to spiciness. We loved every thing we ordered and we will definitely be back. Personally, I’m not a fan of fake meat, but other family members love it when they have the feeling of getting some beef or chicken, so they were really happy to get that while I was blissfully, enjoying fresh vegetables.

We‘ve ordered a lot of food and the kitchen was fast and very nice about it. The outside seating is very nice, the inside looks cozy as well. Cashless payment and splitting the bill was easy.

newly all-vegan spot offering a variety of small, tapas-style plates, different soups (pho, wonton) and lots of rice/noodle/veg dishes with the option of tofu/(crispy) vegan chicken/vegan beef and even crispy vegan duck. food was delicious and the owners are incredibly sweet. they also make a really tasty vietnamese pudding for dessert! fair prices, too.
