Life saving for a latenight meal - Edit
We were having bad luck with everything closing around Itaewon around 9pm. We tried Camouflage last and, success, it was open! The flavours were great and went well with the beer and vegan cola on offer.

Good for a late bite - Edit
A good option in Itaewon. The food was ok, but not my favourite. Portions are quite generous. A major perk is that the restaurant is open until late.

Really good option, specially for late dinner - Edit
Friendly staff (they speak a little English) with a 100% plat-based menu. They have set-menu which makes it more affordable. We tried the dumplings, the chow mei and the orange chicken. Everything was really good.

Unfortunately not our favorite - Edit
Taste reminded me of some meat alternatives of a brand existing in Germany (with kebab or gyros seasoning), e.g. the meat sauce with rice and fried tofu. Quite good but nothing special (for me).
Read moreOrange chicken was much too chewy for us and we didn't finish it.
Dumplings were okay (spinach with leek?) but unfortunately they didn't have soy sauce to dip so there was missing something in the taste for us.
All in all we expected a bit more. But it's still okay.
Pros: Clean und modern rooms, Fast serving
Cons: Higher prices

Good flavours bad texture - Edit
We came here without really having a sense of what American Chinese food is. The menu looked like it had some interesting options so we decided to give it a go.
Read moreI had the orange chicken, my partner had the teriyaki chicken and we both got fried rice to go with it. We both decided to pay a little bit more and get the real crispy option. I can report that the coating was crispy even after a coating of sticky sweet and spicy orange sauce. I enjoyed the flavour, I thought it struck a good balance. The texture of the chicken though was not good. It was incredibly tough and chewy, it took a long time to chew a piece and I couldn't bite through one.
I liked the flavour of the teriyaki chicken but my partner felt that it didn't taste of very much, maybe the coating of the sauce wasn't very even. The texture of the chicken here was the same as the orange chicken.
The fried rice was fine, it had plenty of vegetables in it but wasn't really seasoned. We also got a plate of shrimp to share. These were pretty much what I've come to expect from vegan shrimp. They had a good bouncy texture and nice crispy coating but didn't really taste of much.
They had Bundaberg fizzy drinks which were good, we had ginger beer and tropical mango and they made for refreshing drinks.
It's up a flight of stairs and I didn't see a lift so it's not wheelchair accessible.

Not a fan of orange chicken - Edit
The location is good and the decor is very lovely. I got the dumplings which were so flavourful and delicious! However the fried rice was bland and the orange chicken was incredibly chewy, very unpleasant to eat and we left half of it. Not worth the price for that sort of experience. I expected more from Chinese food based on my experiences in other restaurants.

CHINESE AMERICAN + Vegan = winner! - Edit
One of my guilty pleasures has always been Chinese food (in America). But as my wife has transitioned to a vegan lifestyle, and me trying to be supportive, I’ve started following tons of vegan content on social media and this place popped up on my Instagram feed. I was happy we went! The interior is spacious , cozy, with a cute and simple design. The kitchen looked pristine from the outside. The owner was friendly and open to conversation, and best of all, it’s PET friendly. I imagine some vegan folks would complain about price (but it’s vegan American Chinese! Its not cheap anywhere in Korea…

Definitely worth the price and would recommend to others! (Vegan and non-vegans as well)

Orange chicken was just great as other reviewers said. Orange salad and tomato soup noodle was good too! We had a chance to try the mara chicken and the staff said it will be on menu from next month. Wow it was even better than orange chicken!!

We were alone in the place, but was very nice. The orange chicken was very good. We did the crispy version. Big portion so we did that with fried rice and was enough for two people (didn't finish the chicken).

SO CUTE - Edit
right from the beginning it was so sweet because there was only one older worker who seated us, waited on us, and cooked our food. there are pictures of their cats EVERYWHERE. adorable! serving sizes for the chicken was HUGE. we got the extra crispy option. it ended up being wayyy too much food bc it was greasy comfort food so we didn’t feel the need to eat a bunch to be satisfied. we were the only ones in the restaurant when we were there so the ambiance was quite nice.

This was really hard to eat - Edit
The fried chicken was so chewy I couldn’t swallow it. The salad was bland. I hate writing harsh reviews but proceed with caution.

If you hate writing harsh reviews, maybe you shouldn’t? And instead talk to the chef/owner about the food. It would be a lot more productive for the business, for your experience, and probably the community as a whole.

Well I think that it’s okay if I write a valid review of the experience I had here. That is the point of this platform, we should be honest so the community can grow as a whole. The owner had no interest in speaking with me at all, I tried but it was late and he was closing so I understood. I have eaten in many vegan establishments across the world so I know the difference between good and bad food. Like I said, perhaps we visited on a bad day, but that doesn’t mean I’m not allowed to review based on the food I was served. Maybe you didn't need to comment here but hey, you did so...

Good flavour (but chewy) and lovely decor - Edit
It’s located on second floor, but easy to find
Read moreIt’s Chinese American style and has a menu with not too many options (rather have small menu with good food!). You don’t go here for healthy food
Chicken has following options: orange, teriyaki or Kung Pao
Also extra Crispy or normal
We ordered orange chicken extra crispy
Mini springrolls
Stir fry veggies
The sauce/style of orange chicken is amazing such great flavour!!! - but the chicken is quite chewy
I liked it still, but not my favorite texture
I would wish for either tofu or mushrooms or another brand to make it more easy to eat! There are lots of meat alternatives now!
Mini springrolls have a good size and lots of sauce options at the counter but not really filled.
Stir fry was nicely flavoured - intense flavour and nice tofu cubes
lots of onions though!
The portion sizes are insanely big!!!
Don’t know who said that it’s small but the food would have been enough for 3 easily!
Very kind service
Also having small pound cakes

Delicious Chinese food in Itaewon - Edit
We came here on a Monday evening around 7pm and it seemed to be fairly empty then (no reservation needed) but get busier before we left. The two of us both opted for the meal set with crispy orange chicken and fried rice. It was just the right amount of food for us and delicious! The "chicken" was indeed very crispy and the sauce just right. They have beer and soju as well. The food menu is not huge, but what we tried was well prepared and delicious.

Disgusting - Edit
Neither me nor my partner could eat much of it at all. Not to mention they forgot the vegetable dumplings we paid for. Got to eat the most pathetic vegetable spring rolls I’ve ever had. Almost zero filling, just tiny fried rolls. Every dish we ordered was so bad that we had to throw most the food away, it was simply inedible. The chow main was the worst I’ve ever had. I promise you I’m not being dramatic about this. The noodles were so soggy and the flavor was awful. The orange chicken was soggy and not tasty either. Unfortunately we wouldn’t eat here ever again.
