Oh my goodness – what an amazing place! - Edit
Hilde and Ben’s Bed and Breakfast is an absolute treasure in Brittany. It’s lovingly owned and run by the sweetest couple, Hilde and Ben, who make you feel welcome from the very first moment.
Read moreEvery morning, they prepare a fresh vegetarian and vegan breakfast that changes daily – from fluffy waffles and pancakes to homemade granola, jams, and freshly made oat or almond milk. Everything is absolutely delicious. And if you’re lucky enough to be there on one of the nights they serve dinner, don’t miss it! The meals are extraordinary, often inspired by Ottolenghi recipes, bursting with flavor and variety, and made with organic vegetables sourced from a nearby farmer. We enjoyed dinner with them four times, and each one was a wonderful experience in itself.
The house is a lovingly restored stone building, renovated mostly by Hilde and Ben themselves, with great care to preserve its centuries-old charm. There’s also a gorgeous garden with a bench swing where guests can relax and soak in the peaceful surroundings.
Hilde and Ben strike the perfect balance between being attentive and giving guests privacy. They’re always happy to help if you need anything, but they also give you plenty of space to unwind. The location is blissfully quiet – on a street so calm that hardly ever a car passes – yet just a 10-minute walk from the sea.
Inside, the home is spotless, and the beds are large, incredibly comfortable, and dressed in linen sheets. Sleeping with the windows open, breathing the fresh sea air, and enjoying the absolute stillness gave us the best rest we’ve had in years.
We felt so relaxed here that we often chose to simply stay at the house or lounge in the garden rather than go sightseeing. The beach is close by, and Hilde even offered to arrange rental bikes for us (though we didn’t end up needing them).
Nearby Paimpol is a charming small town with grocery stores and cute little shops. Just be aware that vegan dining options in local restaurants are limited – though honestly, with Hilde and Ben’s cooking, you won’t miss a thing.
Staying with Hilde and Ben was one of the most memorable vacation experiences we’ve ever had. Their home radiates warmth, the region is stunningly peaceful, and the food is a dream for everyone but especially for vegan travelers. It will make you wish you could stay forever.
Thank you so much for having us!

Best place we stayed in all of France! - Edit
The food was exceptional! Hilde made a huge effort to make all our meals vegan. The surroundings were wonderfully tranquil, our room was modern, clean and very comfortable. Hilde and Ben were wonderful hosts. Plus the beautiful garden is a fabulous place to sit and have a coffee. We would love to make this a regular holiday spot. I'll be recommending Cornec to all my vegan and vegetarian friends.

Want to come back again! - Edit
Together with my girlfriend Diane, we stayed at B&B Cornec for five nights. We had a wonderful time. The B&B is located in a beautifully restored old house with all modern and comfortable amenities at the same time.
Read moreThe breakfast was delicious and extensive. Everything is freshly prepared. Vegan for my girlfriend and vegetarian for me. In the evening Hilde cooked a vegan supper a number of times, and this was really top notch!
Hilde and Ben are super nice hosts, very friendly and relaxed. They gave plenty of tips about day trips in the area, and also tips on where you can have a vega(n) lunch in the region.
All this, with the beautiful room with comfortable beds and excellent shower, with the cozy garden to relax in, and with the location close to the amazing coast, makes us want to come back again!
Pros: Meals are exceptional, Very comfortable, Friendly hosts

Enjoyed our stay! - Edit
My husband Bram and I stayed with Hilde & Ben for three nights in B&B Cornec! We had a fantastic room and enjoyed the beautiful surroundings of Ploubazlanec. We received a lot of tips from the super hospitable hostess & host. They are also fantastic cooks! As vegans, we could always enjoy a very high-quality varied breakfast! We also stayed for dinner once and were spoiled with a delicious three-course menu! We definitely want to come back again!

Amazing food, wonderful B&B - Edit
We stayed for 3 nights around New Year's Eve and were lucky enough to have Hilde cook for us every night (during high season, she doesn't cook every night). The food was simply amazing. We are both vegan and we ate like kings: 3-course meals, everything made from scratch (home-made samosas, naan bread, ice cream, Lebanese buffet, burger, fries and spelt buns with veganese,...) Breakfast was incredible, home-made granola, vegan yogurt, fresh bread and jams, home-made apple juice, and this being Brittany, vegan crepes. Very often, when a place caters to vegetarians and adapts for vegans, you feel a bit punished, i.e. they'll have crepes and you'll have fruits, but here we were spoiled. The house is really beautifully renovated and is located around 4 walking paths (GR). We had the best of time and would love to come back. Hilde and Ben are incredible hosts. I can't recommend this place strongly enough, for vegetarians and vegans.
