Pretty nice - Edit
The mushroom pho was pretty good! Also the starters were nice. Pretty expensive though. Nice location to sit. Drinks are okay. I can recommend the food but for the price you can find better places ;)

Fantastic authentic Vegan Vietnamese food. - Edit
We loved it here. Ordered the mushroom pho and wonton pho. A bit more expensive than street food but that’s of course to be expected in a restaurant.

Nice sit down restaurant - Edit
It's a little difficult to find a nice sit down restaurant (especially vegan/vegan options) in the old quarter so it's a nice option!

Mixed experience - Edit
Very friendly waitor, place was full. The Singapore stir fried noodles were medidores, sauce tasty, but the tofu a bit strange and everything way too oily. The passion blossom tea and the desert were tasty.

Great food in the centre of Old Quarter - Edit
The food here is really delicious; it is in the centre of Old Quarter, Hanoi; and the staff are really nice and speak very good English. Credit card is accepted. I especially liked the miso ramen. Note that there is another Chayfood in Tay Ho that is largely identical.

Hit the spot - Edit
I ordered some fresh rolls that I had to wrap myself (which was fun!) and a delicious noodle soup. Service was prompt and friendly. The central location can't be beat.

Lovely little spot, was very near our hotel which was super convenient - just a street or two away from the lake. Definitely sit upstairs when you go!

Chay Food - Edit
Ristorante vietnamita ma anche un po’ fusion. Piatti buoni e sani, ma nulla di memorabile. Prezzi un pochino sopra la media a mio parere.

Enjoyed the kimchi and snacks, would have preferred bigger portions - Edit
Visited Chayfood for dinner.
Read moreVegan Korean food isn’t easy to find, so I jumped at the opportunity to try their kimchi fried rice. A nice mix of veggies, kimchi, rice, seaweed and spices.
Had creamy pumpkin soup and mushroom sausage as appetisers. The cashew cream in the soup was rich, blended with coconut milk. The mushroom sausage snack was crispy and flavourful. In my opinion, the flavours of the mushrooms come out best when you have it without sauce.
Finally, the Thai curry was different from curries I’ve had in the past. It was a thicker curry with less veggies. It needed lemongrass and other important herbs.
Portion sizes were small so we needed to order more dishes.

You pay bit more but it is really worth it. You get the quality out of the price.
Would definitely recommend.
