Phenomenal - Edit
Really excellent food, great variety, and large portion sizes.
Read moreThere are far too many vegan restaurants that simply provide veganized versions of meat dishes where some fake meat and cheese feature - not so at Chickpea, where each dish is a celebration of flavours and ingredients... this is vegan *cuisine* the way it should be done.

UNREAL Good! - Edit
Amazing. The chickpea fries are insane, I’m obsessed with them. As a vegan, I never thought I’d actually *want* to only have fries for dinner, yet here we are! The lions mane tacos were also great.

Exceeded all expectations. The food was exceptional, the service outstanding, and the menu choices abundant.

The staff provided impeccable service, guiding us through the menu with friendly and knowledgeable assistance. The attention to detail and passion for vegan food was evident in every aspect of our visit.
Very knowledgeable about allergies also.

My favourite restaurant in Vancouver!! - Edit
Whenever I’m in Vancouver, visiting Chickpea is a priority. Huge portions of really tasty food. I haven’t tried their whole menu but I’ve loved everything I have ever ordered here. Hummus to die for, the chickpea fries are perfect, and the flavours are great. They even have some pretty boozy (good!) cocktails.

Fresh, flavoursome & generous portion size! - Edit
Me and my partner love Chickpea - he’s not vegan but it’s one of his favourite restaurants!
Read moreWe’d previously eaten from the Chickpea food truck so wanted to try another vegan restaurant on my birthday (not because we didn’t like Chickpea but just because I like to try all the vegan restaurants out there!) but the wait time on the others were too long so we ended up at Chickpea again.
We got as much food as we could and all the flavours were amazing - it was like the freshest buffet of flavours. I got the platter with cauliflower and the mini slaw side - cucumber/dill thing and that was one of my favourite parts of the meal!
The restaurant had a great bustling but relaxed vibe, we ate at the bar but it was a wonderful experience and I’m glad we ended up at Chickpea again… whether you eat at the restaurant or the food truck, you’re guaranteed great grub and generous portion sizes, whilst also eating healthy (or so I like to think, at least).
Pros: Fresh food, Generous portion size, Variety of flavours

Great overall with one misstep - Edit
The Benedict was really good, tasty home fries, and delicious baklava. One misstep - We got it delivered so I know it’s not always at it’s best but the beyond sausage in the dish I got need to be cooked for much longer. It was cold and clearly undercooked. A previous picture showed it use field roast which you can cook for much less time, beyond needs to be cooked.

Very, very surprised - Edit
First time here and absolutely love the food. It’s next to Meet on Main but this place deserves your attention. The chickpea steak is one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time. Made from fava beans it’s incredible how closely the taste and texture is to steak.
Read moreThis place definitely deserves your consideration and multiple visits. The cuisine is all vegan so I’m looking forward to trying all dishes.

I never miss an opportunity to eat at Chickpea when I visit Vancouver. Everything is fresh and delicious. I recently tried the carrot cake for the first time and it did not disappoint. This place is at the top of my list for Vancouver restaurants.

Even better than expected - Edit
We recently visited Vancouver and were excited to get to try Chickpea. We made a reservation and were seated quickly. Our waiter was very nice and I loved the space. Our food was wonderful, the best falafel I’ve ever had. All the flavors and textures were spot on. We can’t wait to come again on our next trip.

One of my favourites - Edit
This is probably one of my favourite restaurants in the world, and I’ve been backpacking to 39 countries as of Jan, 2023. I think I eat there too many times over the last 10 years already but I never get tired of it. The taste is very authentic and it’s vegan, this makes it GOLD to vegans in Vancouver! Must try their CALAMACHICK (GF): Oyster mushrooms deep-fried in cayenne tempura batter with a tzatziki & parsley garnish. Squidlessly delicious! I can’t remember how many times I order this dish!😉

I enjoyed it - Edit
Ordered the platter which came out Lightning quick and was plentiful. My main for the platter was the Calamachick, which is deep fried oyster mushrooms. I thought everything was good, but the hummus was nothing special as I was anticipating. The chickpea fries, on the other hand, were amazing.

Used To Be To Die For. - Edit
Was probably one of the best vegan restaurants in Vancouver but seems to have gone down hill. Maybe it’s the Mediterranean style but I’m not a fan of food served room temperature. Casual atmosphere, completely unpretentious.

Their flavours, portion sizes (and prices), and freshness are some of the main reasons why I keep returning. I've eaten here almost 10 times now, and I've always walked away extremely satisfied (and with leftovers!)

10/10 First time at Chickpea - Edit
WOWOWOWOW I’m so mad at myself for not trying Chickpea sooner! Thank you to the people behind the Plant Curious coupon book for making me explore the city of delicious vegan food.
Read moreI got the platter with the roasted cauliflower and it was sooooo much food for one person! It came with a nice fresh mixed greens salad, 3 pita, hummus topped with crispy chickpeas, and of course LOTS OF CHICKPEA FRIES! They tasted like a mix between cassava and taro. They were sooooo delicious and addicting with the sauce they add on them. I didn’t expect a whole roasted cauliflower and it was sooo flavourful with the sauces and marinade. I had enough to pack up for my lunch the next day.
Pros: Cute easy to read menu and so many options!, Fun cocktail and mocktail menus, Big portions

Busy and delicious - Edit
I looked on the wall and saw a special called the London fog Milkshake and ordered it on a whim. It was pretty fantastic. The french toast was hard to cut and very sugary but I ate it anyway. Stomach ache afterward from all the sugar. My daughter was not a fan of her sausage but ate the bacon. They were understaffed and kept people waiting at the door but many takeout bags of brunch were going out the door. I would like to try the savory breakfast or the pancakes. The menu is so large it is hard to choose.
