Best whole foods for a highly nutritious & delicious meal. The potato wedges are amazing as is the lentil soup & hummus. All the bowls & wraps so very good & if you are really hungry & want a full meal the koshari bowl is so, so, so filling & delicious. All at very reasonable prices.

Read moreThe falafels had me nervous at first. They looked like they’d be good paperweights—dark, hard, and kinda uninviting. But the second I bit into one? Oh. My. Chickpeas. The crispy shell cracked open to reveal a tender, flavourful center. How can something so crispy on the outside and soft inside even exist? It’s culinary sorcery.
The whole dish was beautifully balanced—though I had to bench the tomatoes. They just didn’t bring their A-game.
I didn’t touch the tahini sauce. The beet hummus was the Beyoncé of this platter, and honestly, there’s no need to mess with perfection.
Chickpeas Ottawa, you’ve got a new fan.

Pretty average falafel, I think we had higher expectations because they specialize in falafel. But this may be the place to go if you’re looking for different types of hummus.

Chickpea has some amazing food and it’s served up by a warm and welcoming staff. It’s a small restaurant located in a sprawling mall but it has a really friendly neighbourhood feel. We’ll be back! 😊🌱

Great despite the building work going on - Edit
There was lots of construction work going on to the building they were in so it was a little odd - but their cafe was like a little oasis of calm. I had the curry if the day it was very tasty and filling - I would highly recommend (they are about to move premise as well)

This was the greatest falafel place in Ottawa. The vast array of different fresh humus, as well as the tailored vegetable flavour combinations for each wrap, were so satisfying and delicious.

There was absolutely no reason at all for this restaurant to close. Ottawa keeps taking losses, continually losing the best cuisines they ever had. What a shame. Will people in this city ever appreciate true delicious and healthy food?

Lovely place that has the best falafel in Ottawa, great teas, inventive types of hummus, friendly service. I only wish they would make up some فول (fool) and serve up an Arab breakfast on the weekends.

Great falafel and hummus - Edit
I really enjoyed their falafel sandwiches, which tastes so different to me than most other restaurants that serve them. I also like their hummus varieties and fattoush. I've been there a few times, and the staff are always friendly.
