Eat here immediately

Friendly and attentive staff, pancakes the size of your head and a cooler version of iced coffee. Need I say more? This place is fantastic! They were prepping for Mirisata’s opening of an evening and it smelt absolutely incredible in there. Gratuity is included which is much appreciated to confused travellers. GO HERE.

Pros: Very reasonably $, Lots of open air seating , The most friendly server

Cons: None.

Okay

Friendly staff and good vibes. I found the food to be just okay. Both dishes seemed under seasoned, and the “eggs”, sausage, and hash brown were more oily than I am used to. The portions were huge; two adults could split one entree.

Acceptable American Breakfast

So, I would have given this 3 stars personally, but it gets an extra star from me because I love Mirisata. The American Breakfast was good but presented nothing unique or special. What was special was the Egg Roti I got on the side. Combined it was an excellent meal. Also, props for the Worker owned business.

Pros: Pancakes were excellent , Worker owned, Mirisata breakfast also available

Cons: American breakfasts are boring by nature

American Combo

The pancakes are really fluffly and delicious! The eggs are pretty terrible. They tasted like uncooked, really green mung beans with no attempt to be egg like. The hash brown patties were only crispy, there was absolutely no potatoes left in the center.

Lovely sandwiches

My friend and I enjoyed two sandwiches from Cooper's. They were serving a special weekend brunch when we got there, but they let us order off the regular lunch menu. We tried the BLT and the Chick'n Club — both delicious!

Best pancake breakfast in Portland

I arrived here expecting a good breakfast and instead had an incredible breakfast! Cooper’s Co-Op Cafe is a small, unassuming restaurant that as you approach, you’re not sure if it’s the right place.

The restaurant doubles as a breakfast spot in the morning and a Sri Lankan restaurant from noon onward. As I arrived the hostess gleefully greeted me and told me to grab a seat either inside or outside. The breakfast menu keeps options simple with less than 10 items to choose from.

Shorty after my cup of water arrived, I ordered the Pancake Breakfast. The pancakes were fluffy and cooked perfectly. The “eggs” were folded, dense just like chicken eggs and super tasty. The hash brown was oily, hot, and had that nice crispy crunch you want it to have.

The food was great, the meal arrived fast and the staff was friendly.

My only criticism is that I would’ve like my “sausage” more well done. Not sure if this is even a thing with Impossible Sausage as I’m recalling the crispy sausage patties I used to eat as an omnivore.

Overall this place gets a solid 8/10. I’ll definitely be back here next time I’m in Portland!

Pros: Good food, Food arrived fast, Service was excellent

Cons: Would’ve like the “sausage cooked crispy

Good

Came for breakfast and ordered the breaky roti. Should have gone with the spicy version, as there wasn’t much flavour. Filling was just egg and onion. Could have done with a sambal side or some sort of sauce. Didn’t scream Sri Lankan to me. Keen to come back to try more of the menu.

Good food

I had a cup of coffee which was good and an all American breakfast which had pancakes, egg, sausage and a hash brown. It was so good that I could not take a good picture. Come hungry. *also i forgot it was a bus your own table and I apologize for leaving my plates there, not my intention.

Everything we had was amazing! We ate it too fast to take a picture. Great American-style breakfast, sausage, eggs pancakes, and Sri Lanka-style breakfast like an Egg Roti…amazing! Much more, if we lived here this would be it!!

Delicious breakfast.

It’s very hard to find a tasty, vegan, filling breakfast (even in Portland). This place checks all the boxes. My food was delicious and the service was great, despite them being busy. I’m also a fan of the co-op structure of the business— very cool.

This is definitely a must-try.

Pros: Great food, Great service , Good business model

Good iced coffee and food

The Sri Lankan iced coffee and food were good. There aren't many options, besides the classics. I added chocolate chips to my pancakes, which elevated the meal. They use Just Egg for the scramble, which I really liked, but the portion was pretty small and needed some salt and pepper. I'm assuming that the high price of Just Egg is why it was a small amount.

The regular brekky slaps

This breakfast was super filling .

If you don’t like to waste food and can’t take left overs due to traveling.

These plates are large enough to share and still be stuffed .

My only regret is not splitting it with my woman. We ordered the same thing and both finished 1/3 of the meal.

Pancakes are unreal, quite possibly the best vegan pancakes I’ve ever had. And the syrup is unique.

Yummy and filling breakfast

Had the pancake combo delivered through one of the apps. It came with two sizable pancakes, Just Egg scramble, an Impossible sausage patty, and hash browns. It was delicious and very satisfying! Kept me full all day. Would definitely order again.

It’s okay.

Let me preface this by saying that I ordered my food on UberEats, so that may have messed with the quality because of transport. With that said… the food was okay. I had the hardest time with texture for some reason . Everything was rubbery or was super soggy and salty. That’s why I am saying it could be a transport issue and is better when had fresh. I had the chicken sandwich, which was very salty to me and we also preferred the pancake breakfast. The pancakes tasted odd and felt tight and the eggs were just strange… but I think it continued to just cook in the container after it was put in hot. I am going to give them another whirl in person and will change my review accordingly.

Pros: Sizable portions, Excellent plating and presentation

Cons: Salty, Greasy, Drink not good.

Pricey and Greasy

I ordered the Chick’n Club and Cheesesteak sandwiches. They tasted alright but were way too greasy for me. The pieces of faux meat were unpleasantly chewy. The fries and tomato soup were just ok. The prices are high for the quality of food.

Cooper's Club

I don't use delivery apps, but I conceded in order to try Mirisata's Chick'n Club Sando, which is a triple decker club with sweet-spicy chick'n, creamy Chao cheese, lettuce, tomato, mayo, and the middle slice of bread has a Just egg-in-a-hole. It was not spicy, but it was messy. I didn't taste the egg, but the sandwich was still pretty good overall.

Note: You must have a DoorDash account to order. You can't order in person at Mirisata, but you can eat there.

Pros: all vegan, big portions

Cons: DoorDash, delivery/takeout only
