Scrumptious - Edit
This was my first time visiting Crossroads since I first went vegan 10 years ago. I got the BLT with a caesar salad and my partner got the milanese sandwich. The BLT was amazing with perfect crispy bacon. I love caesar salads and this was definitely a really good one! The milanese was very good as well but needed more vegenaise or other sauce. We also got the Brownie sundae which was delicious. I got a gin and tonic and my partner got a margarita which were both tasty.

Great brunch - Edit
I won’t lie, my stomach wasn’t feeling great after drinking the night before (LOL) but we had a reservation so we went anyway. I had heard great things about brunch here and it was as good as we had hoped. The khachapuri completely healed me. The cheese was delicious and the tomato egg yolk was impressive. My partner’s stuffed French toast was a great portion and also great flavour (but unfortunately not for my stomach haha). The pomegranate kombucha was also really nice, I should’ve asked where they got it. We shared a small banana pudding at the end too which really hit the spot. I would definitely come back on my next visit.

I'm from the east coast, but I dream about this place after visiting LA a few months ago. The Rigatoni goes down as one of the best lunches I ever had. I cannot wait to go back

Fancy Dining without the Fancy Prices - Edit
I’m a pretty hard marker, and this place is not 100% perfect, but relative to comparable vegan dining options it’s pretty ace. The food is tasty, proportions generous (an understatement), it feels fancy with personalised service - yet the prices are on par with places such as Swingers Diner (which serves vegan options that are at best sub-par), or any of the junk food or ethnically inspired vegan eateries.

Elevated Vegan Dining with a Few Small Tweaks - Edit
Crossroads offers an impressive menu that showcases just how far vegan dining has come. With so many options, it’s hard to choose—but nearly everything delivered.
Read moreThe Wedge Salad was exceptional. The blue cheese dressing could have been more evenly distributed, but the balance of flavors was great, and the crispy bacon added a perfect crunch. The Calamari Fritti was my least favorite—it tasted like it had been breaded and left sitting for a bit, lacking the crispness I expected. Still, the flavors were enjoyable.
The Tagliatelle Bolognese was one of the best pastas I’ve had. The noodles were slightly thick and could have been a bit looser, but the dish was still outstanding. The Grilled Lion’s Mane Steak with truffle potatoes was another highlight—rich and flavorful. Interestingly, it tasted even better the next day as leftovers with a little less sauce.
To finish, the Brownie Sundae was delicious, with a strong coconut flavor that might not be for everyone but worked well.
Overall, small critiques aside, Crossroads delivers an elevated dining experience. I’ll definitely be back!
Pros: Diverse, high-quality menu, Standout pasta and steak, Delicious & Decadent dessert
Cons: Calamari lacked crunch, Uneven dressing on salad

Great menu, delicious food. Probably one of the best baba ganoush I’ve ever head and that warm fluffy pita bread. Deep dish pizza was also mind blowing

For meat and seafood fans - Edit
I've been wanting to go to Crossroads for about 8 years, having seen it on the top of so many lists, not just for LA but nationally. Finally, we had a special occasion and a reason to make reservations. We were even able to find a parking space right on Melrose.
Read moreOur server told us that our party of four should order 11 to 12 small plates. We ordered seven and that was more than enough. The service borders on obsequious, which is not my style.
Most disappointing: the food! A lot of meat and seafood substitutes and very few vegetables. It may sound odd but I am a vegan who actually loves vegetables and doesn't like meat substitutes, even when cleverly executed from hearts of palm and tofu. The food seemed remarkably unhealthy, unlike my favorite restaurant, now closed, Real Food Daily.
The food was also way too salty, which I guess helps them sell drinks!
I have had many great vegan meals at Los Angeles restaurants. I very much appreciate the abundance of choices people have here. But I have had more enjoyable meals at, sad to say, Veggie Grill, where you can actually order fresh vegetables and the upselling is non-existent.
I know these are tough times for vegan restaurants in Los Angeles. I hope Crossroads continues to thrive. But I will not be back

Great with room for improvement - Edit
Overall, this is a great restaurant. I don’t think it lives up to the “Best Vegan Restaurant” that VegNews gave it, but I would return.

The best vegan food ever - Edit
This is some of the best vegan food my g/f and I have ever had. We had such a wonderful dinner one evening that we came back the next night. My g/f loved the Cacio e Pepe. The lasagna and piccata were amazing. The staff were wonderful and very knowledgeable about the ingredients. I hope Crossroads opens another place closer to Orange County. This is definitely a place I could take my non-vegan friends and family. #Veganuary

Decent lunch - Edit
We sampled several items for lunch. The calamari fritti appetizer was tasty. The kale Cesar salad was absolutely delicious. The crossroads bowl was excessively salty and disappointing. We also got the mezze box with butter beans, mushrooms, carrots, and baba ganoush. The baba ganoush was incredible and everything else was good but nothing terribly special, and the whole box only came with one piece of pita. Maybe we just ordered the wrong things ? But I wasn’t overly impressed

Favorite Vegan Restaurant - Edit
This is my favorite vegan restaurant I have ever been to. The first time I went (on a date), I was completely blown away with how beautiful and delicious and elegant everything was. From the apps to the mains to the cocktails the food and drink are excellent. The ambience is dreamy and though the price will hurt you, I dare say it is all part of this amazing experience. So sad the Calabasas location closed.

Good food but overrated - Edit
I ordered a pasta dish which was good but could’ve done with some vegetables. The cheese plate had some great cheeses but came with bread that was soaked in oil. Service was super slow. After hearing great reviews of this restaurant for years, I was excited to visit but it didn’t live up to the hype.

Great food. Perfect for a special night out. - Edit
Really nice upscale vegan restaurant. It's a great place to take out of town guests, go to brunch, or have a romantic dinner. They also do great meals for holidays like New Years Eve. I've been here with people of a variety of dietary needs and tastes, and everyone I've taken has enjoyed it. Reservations encouraged, as it can get busy. The indoor area is beautiful. The outdoor area more casual and can get cold at night, but still nice.

Scrumptious breakfast - Edit
Highly recommend the brunch menu!
Read moreWe ordered the chickun & waffles with crispy potatoes, pancakes with blueberry compote and the stuffed french toast with mascarpone cream. Without a doubt the pancakes are some of the best vegan pancakes I have tasted. They are super fluffy, light and delicious. The french toast with mascarpone cream are incredibly flavorful and memorable. The chickun & waffles are superb, and (imho) the star of the dish are the spectacular crispy, baked breakfast potatoes. #Veganuary

Fine Vegan Dining at a decent price - Edit
Looking to find a new Vegan Restaurant to celebrate a special occasion, we came across Crossroads in West Hollywood and decided to go for Saturday brunch. The first thing I loved is that they had outdoor dining in a nice outdoor area in front which was covered and HAD HEATERS (yay!). EXCELLENT. The atmosphere leans towards high end dining yet the prices are happily competitive which was nice. I ordered the Stuffed French Toast which was good but nothing special. I got it because the waiter said it was “stuffed” with “almond cream” and that sounded delectable but it actually came with some kind of vegan butter spread instead with a disappointingly small bit of fruit compote on top (not sure what fruit, but it was golden color). ON the side it came with two IMPOSSIBLE sausages which were tasty but had a strange plastic-y clear wrapping around them that I ended up peeling off in one whole piece. A seaweed based bacon was an alternate choice to the sausages, which I passed on. Someone else at our table had the burrito, which they enjoyed but the best thing I saw at our table was the Chicken and Waffles. The Chicken came in nice big pieces with some breading on it and we were told it was IMPOSSIBLE based. The waffles looked fresh and fluffy. I didn’t order it but if I return for brunch that’s what I’m getting! All of us got a generous plate of fresh fruit as a starter, which was a really nice touch although a tough selection in winter. The plate had excellent blueberries, some green grapes, blackberries and persimmon slices that were hard and unripe, but looked nice on the plate. A waiter circling the restaurant brought over a cocktail cart, serving both alcohol drinks and mocktails, which was really lovely but it was too early in the day for us to partake. If I came for dinner, I would definitely get something. The wait staff was friendly and somewhat attentive, yet our waiter didn’t know the answer to most of our questions and had to “go ask”. We figured he was new. The only off-putting thing about this place was the widely-hated “Kitchen fee” added to the bill (which usually runs about 2-4% of the bill) which is a ridiculous practice and I plan to call out every restaurant that adds that insulting charge to my bill. Thus minus a star on my rating.
Read moreMelrose in WeHo is a busy, congested, yet popular part of town. Parking is difficult although they do have Valet Parking for a fee.
Pros: 100% plant based, heated outdoor seating, good portions
Cons: 3% surcharge added to bill, congested area, difficult to find parking

Vegan Thanksgiving! - Edit
I got the email about Thanksgiving at Crossroads so I messaged a friend that lives in LA and asked if he had any plans for the holiday. I was already traveling so figured why not finish my trip in California?! Having only been to the Las Vegas location, I was psyched to check out the original. Awesome space on super cool Melrose! The meal was awesome. Always love crossroads and hope to be back to any location real soon!!

Not a lot of restaurants like this, fancy high class dining with a fully vegan menu. Waiters were on top of things, food was absolutely delicious. Small portions so expect to get 2-3 plates per person. The chicken parm was one of the most delicious things I have ever had. Can't recommend this place enough.

Best Vegan Food! - Edit
A nice, all vegan eatery that we stopped for lunch. The options are endless and all delicious. You cannot go wrong with any pasta, sandwhich, appetizer, or pizza. Some real shockers were the scallops and calamari which were incredibly realistic. I ordered the spicy Sicilian and I think it was the best vegan pizza I've ever had. It wasn't a traditional chicago deep dish like in Kitchen 17 but still fantastic nonetheless. The prices are also not too bank-breaking for a nice restaurant and being all vegan.

Our happy place - Edit
We love Crossroads and have probably had more than 100 meals there. It’s nice that the menu shifts but many of the staples remain. A couple suggestions for them: I lament a few of the permanent changes to the brunch menu (they used to offer delicious roasted fingerling potatos but now just have these tiny cubed potatos and peppers that seem more consistent with a hotel breakfast bar; and the sad demise of the chickpea panisse which was the centerpiece of their old breakfast sandwich.)
Read moreIn general, though, I love that they have such a varied menu and that the interior is swanky and comfortable. My only other suggestion would be to bring back the old barstools - which had higher backs - as the new ones are uncomfortable for tall people (no back support).
Pros: Delicious and varied menu

Vegan food at its finest - Edit
Was extremely impressed by every dish that we ordered at Crossroads! The standout was certainly the cheese platter and the lions mane steak although the Impossible cigars were reminiscent of beef taquitos and the rigatoni was delicious & spicy.
