A must try if you are in Portland! Every cheese we tried was incredible and the vegan meat they sell is also fantastic. Even our non vegan friends thought it was amazing!

Good place for cheesy vegan folks - Edit
I was on my way to somewhere else, and decided to swing by this place. This is an amazing place for vegans whose dietary includes plant-based cheeses. Though I did not purchase any cheese due to a time-wise visit, I’m keeping this place in mind if I want to cook something with vegan cheese. The store has a small front, but there’s cheese factory in the back to produce the “cheezes.” Worthy of note to be added on the favourites. Now I have some ideas for vegan Mac & Cheeze!

Not everything available - Edit
Really good cheese but not everything always available — I get it they do small batches. If there is something you have your heart set on trying -call first. Otherwise just go and try some of the other cheeses! Something for everyone

Impressive selection - Edit
Wow! I've only tried one cheese and took a sandwich to go (mushroom melt), and I was VERY impressed. Staff are very kind and helpful.

Lots of different vegan cheese options. Fun vegan salami choices. First time visit. Met the lovely mother of the owner who was working the register. Wonderful experience and will be back before we head home.

Supportive Shop - Edit
I ordered the Smoky Apple Ah Day Panini, which is house-made Smoky Good-Ah and Honeycrisp apples pressed between sourdough toast. It was tasty, but pretty oily, and the cheese flavor overpowered the apples and the Tofurky I added.

I'm already dreaming of my next visit - Edit
I do love a vegan cheese shop and this one is no exception. I've been trying to make it on my past few visits to Portland, but the hours never seem to work well with my plans. On this visit I just happened to be on my way to dinner nearby and decided to stop in and check it out right before they closed. Thanks Happy Cow for showing me how close together they were.
Read moreThe place is small like I expected, but I did not realize there would be a table available in case you wanted to sit down and grab a bite. I was thinking this was more of a grab and go place, which it totally is, but they also have a menu available. I had not planned to stop by and I was on my way to dinner so I was kicking myself I could not enjoy one of the many delicious sounding sandwiches, but I did decide to treat myself to a small individually wrapped block of cheese that I planned to eat on my walk to the restaurant.
The person behind the counter was nice enough to let me sample 4 types which helped make my decision. They were all delicious and I was so sad this was not a place I could stop off for a wine and cheese sampling. I enjoyed the Nutty Dragon, Smoky Good-Ah, Cashew Chevre with Basil and Chive and one other I can not recall. I would get them all again and I would try everything else they offered. I only wish Seattle had something similar. I had planned to consider coming back the next day to enjoy a sandwich, but did not make it. It does seem like they have frozen cheese available if you happen to be on your way out of town and have concerns about not being able to get it home safely. So glad to have checked this out and hope to add it to my Portland routine for future visits.
Pros: so much cheese, sandwiches, friendly staff
Cons: limited hours

Came across this place at a stand in the downtown Vancouver farmers market. I was sold after just one sample! Can’t wait to visit the brick and mortar location.

Great cashew cheese - Edit
Cashew is not my favorite (I tend to find them a bit sweeter than I like) but I wanted to try some of the cultured cheese here. They were very helpful in letting us try the cheeses and making a selection. We ended up getting the smoky good-ah and cream cheeses. The pepper Jill has a good kick if you want something with spice.

Looking forward to more… - Edit
First visit to the shop today! We had a couple of hot paninis (mushroom, apple), and brought home an assortment of cheese. It’s all very good, however the aged cheese is superb. Looking forward to trying much more (rind and all) in weeks and months ahead.

We’ve been coming since the doors opened, but keep forgetting to write a review. We’ve tried every flavor and have loved them all. The new packaging is bit of a pain to open, but so worth it, simply incredible cheese!

Panini - Edit
A vegan cheese shop was not something I wanted to miss. We sampled most of the cheeses, and they were all delicious. We left with two kinds of cheese (pepper brie and pepper jill), “sausage,” ube cheesecake, and the “Apple-ah-day panini.” We have not tried the cheesecake yet (I will update later), but the panini was terrific. I added candied jalapenos, and it was the perfect balance of creamy, crispy, and light spice. The shop was adorable and clean. The person working was very kind and helpful. Definitely worth a visit!

Love - Edit
We love visiting this shop when we’re in Portland. The cheeses are lovely and perfect for fancy charcuterie boards. The sandwiches in shop are soooooo good from the first bite amazing. And the service is phenomenal, they’re so genuinely nice. I’m so happy to see their cheeses start to be sold in NY and wish them all the success they deserve.

Yay cheese! - Edit
I love their cheese, it is truly a treat. It has low-key ruined me for other vegan cheese. You'll pay more than regular ole Daiya/Violife from the grocery store but it is worth it. I love that it isn't trying too hard to be dairy-ish, it's its own thing and it is amazing. My favorite cheesy gals are Pepper Jill and Pepper Brie. I have yet to try the cheesecake but I am intrigued.

A MUST - BEST CHEESE EVER - Edit
This is the BEST cheese I’ve ever had. Got the sampler cheeses to try all their different flavors. Each cheese was SUPERB but their smoked Gouda was the absolute BEST. Highly suggest picking up some cheeses and homemade fig salami from here, along with their crackers and homemade jams and having a picnic lunch. Great place to create a charcuterie board.

I had a hard time making up my mind between the mushroom melt and Reuben, but the Reuben was excellent. My husband got a sandwich with apple slices in it and was surprisingly a sweet and savory combination. Finished with an amazing lavender cheesecake.
