Okay - Edit
Read a bunch of mixed reviews and decided to give it a try. Overall it was a fair experience. Nothing to highlight.

Great, authentic food - Edit
The food (noodles and spring rolls) was great! Service isn’t something they focus on, but that’s okay.

Decent pho, shame about the spring rolls - Edit
I had the vegan pho, which was nice but not extraordinary. A shame the spring rolls were only vegetarian.

Really good broth - Edit
I had the vegan pho and the broth was amazing. I didn't like the mushrooms but that's just my taste.

Good options - Edit
The vegan options at the restaurant are great. They taste good and are not too expensive for Copenhagen standards. I really love the bánh mì

Worth a try. - Edit
They have (i)tofu sandwich (which can be veganised) (ii) tofu salad (iii) rice noodle salad with tofu (iv) a pho noodle soup (v) a banana coconut porridge. The place isn’t amazing but definitely worth a try. For a city with limited choice, this isn’t too bad.

Mediocre Vietnamese food - Edit
District Tonkin is a Vietnamese restaurant. I have tried the spring rolls, which were very good, and the glass noodle salad with tofu. The latter was just OK, other reviewers noted the special flavours, but it was just a ready-made-sauce, lots of coriander and chili, in my opinion. Unfortunately, it wasn't filling at all. You had to search hard to find the tofu. Considering the portion sizes and that it is basically street food and the ambiance in the restaurant isn‘t particularly good, it is too expensive, in my opinion. Would not go again.

Expensive and small portion - Edit
I ordered a salad with tofu and upon it arriving, I was told they were out of tofu, so they just made it without, which I agreed to pay full price for, because I was in a hurry.
Read moreI expected it to be meal sized though and it was more like a starter, and I hadn't brought anything more for lunch at work. A disappointment.

Limited options, but delicious! - Edit
There's a not a whole lot to choose from at District Tonkin, but what they have is very good. The vegan spring rolls is a tasty and filling starter. The noodle salad with tofu is always fresh and bursting with flavour. Absolutely delicious.

Delicious Vegan Options !! 🌿 - Edit
I’m from Australia and didn’t expect to find such delicious Vietnamese food but I stumbled upon this place during a solo day trip around Copenhagen and was pleasantly surprised😄Staff were kind and knowledgeable in helping me find suitable vegan options. (The spring rolls and the tofu noodle salad were delicious.) Went back there the next day and brought a friend. Highly recommend. the restaurant is beautifully lit and very ‘hygge’ :))))

3,5 stars - for the 2 vegan options - Edit
The 2 vegan options on the menu - a noodle salad with tofu and fried spring rolls - are very tasty. The music is a bit too loud for my taste and the food is somewhat pricey. A solid option if your in the area and in the mood for noodles.

Great! - Edit
I've eaten at District Tonkin twice.
Read moreThe vegan spring rolls and rice noodle salad with tofu were delicious!
I confirmed at the counter, VG on the menu stands for Vegan, and V means Vegetarian. I'd put it in the medium price range for Copenhagen.
They are really heavy on the coriander/cilantro (which I love, but know it's a love/hate thing for a lot folks). There's also a nice kick from the chili.
When I got a to-go order, they unfortunately got 3 of the 4 things wrong...they gave me the meat versions when I was sure to get the veg versions. I didn't check the bag until I got home, so it was too late to fix. Gave the food to a friend who eats meat. So, just be cautious. When they get it right though, it's a really great meal!
Will definitely go again and will recommend to friends.
