Best Vegan Bento Box I've ever had 😀

Lovely little spot with fresh food and produce.
We went for vegan bento boxes, and it was amazing, so delicious.
The place has only one little table to sit inside, but there is a canal nearby with benches or grass to relaxing meal.

Super cute

Just left of exit 4 from jingu muratamachi station, this tiny obento shop is easy to miss. The obento labeled Veg are vegetarian/pescatarian ( they use fish broth for some things) you need to tell them you want vegan and they can point the vegan options.

Pros: Well informed staff, Grocery items for sale, Organic choices

Great food!!

We had 2 different bentos, we loved both. We wanted to go again, but oh... it's closed during weekends! If I would live in Kyoto I would eat there SO often. The prices are great, good flavours and textures, many options to chose from, good portions... And the staff spoke English enough to offer us the vegetarian options and asked if we ate eggs or not.
They have a small table if you want to eat there, it was empty when we visited a Thursday around 1PM, but the place is close to the river so if the weather is good you might consider eating in a bench over there, as we did.
I would give it 5 stars if Happy Cow would allow it!

Pros: Great flavours, many options of vegetarian croquettes, great prices

Cons: It isn't a restaurant, but there are a few chairs, closed on weekends

簡單好吃

店員很nice會詢問奶蛋素、魚露接受否。很小的店,只有三個座位。

Cute little take out place with plant based options

Great place for a lunch take out.
Many plant based vegan options. Owners are really helpful with their limited Japanese and helped choose the options with no dairy or cheese. Food was delicious.

Pros: Delicious food, Cheap , Vegan options

Cons: Not all vegan

I went to grab a bento to eat next to the river. They made me a vegetarian one, there are a few options.
Food was good, not unforgettable but good.

Love the Bento

Got a bento here yesterday and loved it! It is a very cute shop near the river so you can buy your bento here and eat it sitting by the river if you like. The content of the bento was varied and healthy but also delicious. We had seaweed, veggie salad, beans, rice and two different kinds of croquettes. There is an English menu available so you can easily see which options are veggie (they also serve meat and fish). She asked us whether fish stock is a problem (I dont mind) and they also show which bento contains egg. Also, the price is very reasonable! We will certainly come back.

Pros: tasy, good value, friendly

Cons: Few seats, lot of packaging material

great lunchboxes

I already knew the shop for a long time and finally made it eating a lunchbox of them. It was delicious! They also sell meat containing lunchboxes, but the vegan options are clearly marked. For a vegan lunchbox you can choose 2 out of a few croquettes. The lunchbox was around 780¥, which is a really good price I think.
They also sell organic food and cleaning agents.

Pros: healthy, japanese style lunchbox, organic, price is more than reasonable

Cons: only take-out

Small grocery and take out deli

Location:It's on Marutamachi -dori , near the bridge and has a large sign in English " Earth Kitchen."

Food: This cosy one -room shop is stocked with fresh produce , dry goods & eco friendly cleaning and body care products. The take out counter and open kitchen are in the back , with daily specials listed on boards. There are tofu and veg based hot dishes prepared for take out. With a location near the river, you can find pleasant spots to sit and eat.

If you are looking for a fully stocked natural food supermarket , cross the bridge to "Farmers" on the same street.

Pros: Veggie take out

Cons: Closed weekends
