Tasty Vegan Taco

After hearing multiple suggestions to try El Viejón, we finally stopped by. The menu offers three labeled vegan options, plus a few other vegan-friendly items like guacamole and chips. The cauliflower taco was delicious. I especially loved the spicy avocado salsa on top. While I wouldn’t go out of my way to eat here, considering most vegan Mexican food in San Diego is disappointing and/or bland compared to its non-vegan counterpart, this place allowed me to be just as satisfied with my meal as everyone else. A true win for me!

Note: this may not the place to visit if the smell of cooking sea life bothers you, as the scent is noticeable even from outside
