Cozy, calm place for a bite or a coffee - Edit
We stopped for a quick lunch and enjoyed the calm, very local ambiance. The waitress (owner) was very friendly and we were soon talking to some local regulars, which is what I love to do when traveling. Coffee was good and our small lunch was tasty and filling.

Interesting place, lovely staff, some odd flavours. - Edit
Encanto is a really unique place and the staff were lovely and helpful. Some of the flavours in our food were a bit unusual though. Not off but unusual pairings. Maybe just different to what we’re used to. Also there wasn’t anything special about the ingredients used or the quality so only a 3 star from me. They were closing early for an event so maybe I just need to go back another time. Addendum: the cinnamon buns were great (got takeaway).

Small portions - Edit
Toast was really nice, I liked the cheese. The breakfast was small - you can choose either 3 or 4 things including drinks so an orange juice, coffee, rye bread and crossaint altogether were the entire meal. Which was nice but small.

A bit disappointed - Edit
The place and the staff are lovely, but I was disappointed with the breakfast. The orange juice wasn’t good (came from a bad quality juice box), the slices of bread with toppings were barely ok, the croissant was just ok. The price went 2€ up so 10€ was way too much for that.

Very lovely service and delicious food. The blueberry smoothie was the best I’ve ever had. Salads were fresh and tasty. Also I loved the atmosphere, the cozy interior was designed with beautiful art. I will definitely visit this lovely little cafe again. Recommend!

Lovely place - Edit
I paid two visits to Encanto during my brief stay in Helsinki during the month of July 2022. At that time, they had only been open for a few months. By December--the time of this review, I was amazed to see how much their business had grown, most notably, to include the addition of live music, along with art exhibitions.
Read moreI remember having the Vegan Pepperoni Toast, and the Green Salad with Vöner filling. I could tell that there was meticulous attention in preparing the food and to it's overall appearance. And the prices were quite reasonable, considering that it is Helsinki, where everything tends to lean on the expensive side.
I feel like it's worth mentioning that if you walk in with certain expectations, which may lead to pointing out things such as, the place is too small, not enough food, etc., then you're missing the point entirely. It is what it is, and therefore, not at all pretentious, which is to be admired. And what you will gain is the friendliness of the staff, the charm of the surroundings, and knowing that you are helping to build not only the vegan community, but also the local music and art scene as well.
I have no criticisms about Encanto, and I predict that they will be around for a long time to come.

Cosy café, but small portions - Edit
I visited for breakfast. The menu was not very extensive, but 4 items for 10 euros were a fair deal. Coffee was good, so was fresh orange juice. Croissant was good, too (specially the cheese, which tasted like real camembert, omg!) and the "daily specialty" (some dill spread on rye bread) was the best item of them all. However, the portion was very small, so I paid for an extra cinnamon bun (3 euros - pretty expensive), which unfortunately was very hard and dry and I did not like it.

Lovely café - Edit
I had the breakfast and chose the overnight oats, croissant with jam and vegan cheese, and the cinnamon bun. It was really delicious. I also had an iced latte, their coffee was good. All of it only cost 11€ (choose 4 for 10€, extra 1€ if you want a different coffee)! I will definitely come here again.

We had breakfast here. Nice stuffs. The toast with PB and smoked cheese wasn’t so tasty, I would recommend more veggies. Also overnights oat.. more fruit. The hot cinnamon rolls and croissant were really yummy, also coffee. 👌🏼
