Okay

We waited for quite some time for the food and the bread and the falafel were not fully warm. It was okay, but overpriced for a restaurant.

Nice place

Nice place with Jewish (?) Background. The food is good and the price are quite alright.
You don't find many Falafel Restaurants in Japan, so try these If you miss then.

Great value vegan lunch set

Falafel pita bread sandwich with fries and hot drink for lunch was so cheap and tasty! Cafe is cute and service is friendly, the location is really convenient to the Imperial Garden as well.

Pros: Cheap , Fresh , Tasty

Very nice

They had a pretty big selection of vegan food. I tried the pita falafel lunch set, which was very nice. The tofy pudding was also good, but a bit boring to in my opinion. I also had a very nice soy banana shake, which had a lot of banana flavour, and a nice consistency.

Pros: Good selection of vegan choiced, Nice staff, Splitting the bill was doable

Cons: Service was a bit slow

Yummy Falafel!

This was one of the best falafel I've ever had! Generous portions and the sauce and hummus were soo good. I got the medium size falafel pita and eggplant baba ghanoush side with a hot soymilk drink.

The restaurant has limited seating downstairs, but more room upstairs. It's like being in someone's old house with high ceilings, wooden beams and cosy seating.

I will say that I didn't like the toilet though - there's only one downstairs and apparently it has a weak flush so you're not allowed to flush used toilet paper. You have to put it in a small bin at your feet and you will see what the previous person put in...it almost put me off my food.

Overpriced

Falafel was nice but the rest of the ingredients were a bit bland, the portions were not great, and over 4000 yen for 2 people... hot drinks were especially overpriced. Not much of the usual attention to detail with ingredients you get in Japan. Would not recommend personally.

Cons: Expensive for the ingredients

Classic

Best falafel wrap I’ve ever had. It’s creamy and crunch and to die for. The hummus is also incredibly delicious. One of my favorite places to go.

Good falafel options

Falafel garden is spacious with ground level and 1st floor seating inside and out.
An extensive menu offers several different falafel options as well as dessert and side dishes.
The fried spicy pita side dish was amazing, as was the hummus and falafel salad. It was all very filling😄at a reasonable price.

OMG YUM

Plenty of vegan options!! Fresh and housemade Falafels and Hummus. Pita bread was amazing also. Plenty of options. Appears the main chef/owner is Israeli(?) and is therefore an expert with this food. ✌🇯🇵🌱

[NB: For whatever reason it wont let me do 5 ⭐ only 4. But be rest assured this is 5⭐]

Excellent food

Colourful and welcoming restaurant with delicious fresh food. The most fresh salad we've consumed whilst in Japan! Every element was packed with flavour. Menu has many vegan options which are all clearly labelled. Staff are happy to discuss vegan substitutions. Best part about the experience is how healthy yet filling the meal was.

Pros: Spacious venue, Fresh , Plentiful servings

Cons: Expensive

Disappointed.

The falafel was tasty and original. But when I entered the restaurant I asked twice if credit cards were accepted. When was ready to pay,I was asked for cash. No the owner was not Japanese.

Pros: Service., Tasty

Cons: Small portion , Not honest re payment options.

Try the coconut milkshake!!! This was a wonderful experience. Had some non-vego options also if you’re looking to meet any mixed groups needs.

Pros: Couple of different vegetarian options, Vegan options clearly listed, English menu

A corner of Israel in Kyoto

If you want to have some Middle Eastern food in Japan, head to Falafel Garden. We stopped here for a quick lunch, ordering falafel with pita, hummus, and baba ganoush. Everything was fresh, nourishing, and very tasty.

Pros: nice Middle Eastern food

So tasty!

Had the large falafel pita for lunch. Picked a table near the door which would’ve sat two but I also noticed some single seats at a bench facing the front window.

The falafel and hummus/tahina was so good! They also add a tasty coleslaw/cabbage salad in as well.

Kind of disappointing

The location is very nice, but the overall experience wasn't great, and certainly not up to the reviews.
Went in the afternoon with 3 friends, we waited almost an hour despite ordering all the same thing (falafel with pita), and despite the first floor being empty. The portions were small, especially considering the price. The falafel and the sauce were ok, but not as tasty as ones I had in other places.
All considered I wouldn't come back.

Pros: Many vegan options

Cons: Small portions, Mild flavour, Long wait

Great food and atmosfair

Amazing place, I felt right at home (even though I’m from Denmark). The staff were really nice and the owner came to our table for a chat. We were two and shared a mixed plate and a piece of raw mango melt cake, both really tasty and delicious! Bought some falafels and humus to go, for my dinoer tomorrow. The place is a bit pricey, but worth it!

Phenomenal

This spot is a perfect little gem to check out if you’re coming to Kyoto. The staff is very frendly and you won’t even notice time go by to revive your food. My friend and I stopped by while transferring trains, it was the perfect meal for a quick bite or if you want to chill. Such a cozy place and I would recommend this place to vegans and non vegans alike. The mango juice it fantastic and ordering anything on the menu will not dissappoint.

Pros: Healty, Tasty , Reasonably priced

Cons: None, Nada, Zilch

Falafel from heaven

This cozy, vegan option(s) spot, creates an ambience of being transported to Israel for a dining experience your tastebuds will forever appreciate! The food is fresh and phenomenal!!!! Plus, it’s a very short walk (approx 2 mins) from the Demachiyanagi Station.

Pros: The menu selection is great!, They have take-away options! , Atmosphere is serene and beautiful.

Cons: Ha... there aren’t any

葷素異國風皮塔餅餐廳

提供素食餐點,五辛餐點選項較多,僅1樣無五辛餐點-酪梨皮塔餅,餐點較小份但調味適中可稱得上是美味。
