100% Vegan - creative menu - very solid choice - Edit
I have to withhold 5/5 because of the portion size-to-price ratio. I ordered biscuits and gravy (16.50) and my husband ordered chicken and waffles (17).
Read moreMy one gripe: I think that implied with plural "biscuits" is...multiple biscuits, but unfortunately it was one biscuit sliced in half. The chickpea crumble "sausage" looked to be about 2 tablespoons. I feel like the ingredient cost is quite low on this one, so I'm not sure the rationale on the portion size.
Technically the chicken and waffles was also 1 waffle cut in quarters...again, plural matters.
It was very good, and seemed high quality, but it is a bit expensive for what you get.
Pros: Friendly staff, Really tasty food, Nice atmosphere
Cons: A little pricey, Portions on the smaller side

Excellent breakfast! - Edit
Great flavors, and lots of options! Every dish we got was tasty! Tofu fried chicken was fabulous, as was the chicken sausage! I even enjoyed the goat cheese (not too tangy). Southwest hash was an instant favorite for me.

Great Place for Vegan AND Gluten Free - Edit
Amazing place! We had a late lunch and then went back for breakfast. What a great place! They have a few items for sale as well. (Fresh flowers, cookbooks, prepared food items, etc)

Grand Rapids’ Vegan Cafe - Edit
From the brainchild of Rise Bakery comes a new Vegan cafe that is taking its place as the hip vegan option in Grand Rapids. Taking all their knowledge from Rise, FiKA carves its niche with enough aplomb to differentiate itself from Rise while still feeling congruent.
Read moreFiKA’s interior feels like a trendier IKEA, bristling with contrasted colors and simple but sleek furniture. Specializing in breakfast, FiKA soars with a wide menu of all the breakfast staples but in a vegan presentation. And this vegan shell is not just for show. Most of the meals are crafted in house, and try to stay clear from processed vegan foods as much as possible. Not that I’m not a sucker for impossible meats, but it is awesome to see a restaurant really go all in on vegan cuisine in Grand Rapids.
Additionally, there is a little retail store that offers harder to find vegan goodies. There is not much negative I can say about FiKA. It really is that awesome. It’s a little more expensive, but with quality of the food and offering a unique experience for the plant-based aficionados, it is to be expected.
Come for breakfast! Enjoy!
Pros: All vegan, Vegan Retail store, Allergy friendly

Wow! Amazing! - Edit
So many options and our choices were out of this world! I had the vegan tempeh BLT with avocado and tots. My husband had the hot “chicken” sandwich.

So good - Edit
Love this place! The food is always great and staff are super friendly. There’s a lot of good flavors with the dishes. Some of their sweet options are a tad too sweet for me but if you have a sweet tooth you’ll be happy! The tater tots had the best cook on them, so good. I also got the cherry pie match and this was out of the world. Can’t wait to go back and try more.

Surprisingly Good - Edit
I gotta be honest… I’ve been to Rise twice and didn’t love anything I had there, so I was nervous to try Fika, but everything I tried was really good! The biscuits and gravy were especially delish! (I’m not gluten free)

If you have loved Rise, you will love Fika! We went on the first open weekend, and while it was busy and some items had sold out, the food was incredible and it was the same friendly, welcoming atmosphere as Rise. The food was delicious. The drinks from Squibb = excellent. I am grateful to have a vegan space to dine at in West Michigan again!

Fully vegan cafe in GR - Edit
What a cute cafe! Not only is it thrilling to finally have a fully vegan food place in grand rapids, but it's also really well thought out. You can come order breakfast or lunch, grab a drink, or shop in the little market for some great vegan finds. They offer newer vegan products I hadn't even seen yet like oat milk squeeze cheese!
Read moreToday, I had the tofu scramble with cinnamon raisin toast and loved it. My husband got sausage and gravy. We each got fresh brewed tea iced.
The prices are a little higher than some of the other cafes by comparison, but the quality is superb and well worth the visit.
Pros: Everything is vegan with many sweet and savory , A nice market with new vegan finds, Great atmosphere
Cons: It's a little pricey (but worth it)
