Nice food, staff and the interior. Unfortunately, deceiving menu - pics of the feast for two showing more food than IRL, "11-inch burrito" being 11-inch only before rolling it (so smaller IRL), no idea what else is vague there. Most annoyingly, dishes and drinks come in random order - one main came with the appetisers, unmixed cocktails arrived next after prompting, even though I ordered them well ahead the food; one main came 10-15 mins after everything else. If you don't care about all of this and are flush with money, it's 4.5/5.

Busy and well organised place with some vegan options - Edit
The place has QR code ordering and vegan items are clearly labelled. Although most items on the menu are not vegan, about 10% of items are either vegan or can be made vegan. Most vegan items swap the meat with sweet potato or Fable mushroom. The place is neat and well organised. The staff are efficient and the food is prepared quite quickly. There is a decent toilet in the back. The place also does not accept cash and requires digital payments.

Good Mexican with vegan options - Edit
Definitely enjoy coming to fonda. Haven’t been in a few years but the food has been consistent and delicious. I had the sweet potato quesadilla, which I must say had a really nice vegan cheese in it. The elote was lovely and the drinks are always nice.

Found this gem down Flinders Lane on a quick trip to Melbourne. Pleasantly surprised by how many vegan and gf options they have. We shared a number of dishes and will definitely return in the future.

Very buzzy with super friendly service. The food was served pretty quickly (good for us as we were off to a footy game) and it was delicious: Mex Bim-Bap (with roasted sweet potato, chatted sweet corn, pickled cabbage, black beans, crispy chickpeas, quinoa, spinach, tortilla crisps and more) and the Herbed Mushroom Quesadillas. Plenty of options on the menu marked clearly as vegetarian or vegan.

Had the roasted sweet potato quesadillas (vegan and gluten free on request) - delicious. Also the jalapeno kombucha (margarita) and the espresso martini was very yummie, even tho the margarita came without salt. Def recommend Fonda!

tasty falafel burrito - Edit
The restaurant is great for group lunches and caters for dietary requirements well. I had the falafel burrito which was very nice, small but filling enough for me. Others may want sides! The fitout is good but the acoustics need work! It's way too loud.
