Vegan French Onion Soup - Edit
I love vegan French onion soup. We had just gotten of a flight from ATL and went straight here with a backpack. The staff were welcoming and the vegan French onion soup had a nice broth topped with two kinds of vegan cheese. The cheese was melty, smooth and delicious. I enjoyed the crouton bread on the side for dipping.

Perfect dinner spot with cocktails! - Edit
The bar is beautiful and we decided to eat there since it was a quiet Thursday night. We had the Mac and cheese croquettes and I was absolutely in love with them. Perfectly crispy outside, creamy Mac and cheese inside, and the siracha aioli was just the right amount of heat. I couldn't pass up an all vegan charcuterie board and me and my fiance snacked on it while enjoying some truly special cocktails. They even do faux egg white so you get that creaminess I've been missing in my drinks. Hit them up for a chill beautiful evening where everything is vegan🖤

Such a rad spot - Edit
What a cool lounge vibe! We had such a great experience and the food was phenomenal. All the staff was super nice as well.
Read moreWe got the charcuterie platter which was amazing- the mushroom pâté was so good, and I am someone who hates mushrooms and smashed it. We did the kale Caesar with tofu which was delicious and hearty, the buffalo wings, and truly the star of the show were the mac n cheese croquettes! SO freaking good Icouldve eaten 12. After hanging for a while I decided to get the pie of the day which was a blackberry pie I got a la mode and it was to diiieeee for. 15/10 will absolutely come back

Amazing spot - Edit
They have live jazz on Wednesdays, and it's a very cool vibe in there. But most importantly, the food is genuinely excellent. Would highly recommend.

Delish food, fun atmosphere - Edit
Best mac n’ cheese and French onion soup I’ve had, and the pie à la mode hit the spot. Cocktail was also great 👌 we went late on a Wednesday night and they had live jazz music too. Couldn’t ask for anything better tbh!

Bar food, upscale environment - Edit
Nice space adjacent to the lobby of a hotel. Smallish menu with bar food options and lots of alcohol options. A few n/a options. I asked for a mocktail and they accommodated.
Read moreOrdered the French Dip which was pretty delightful. They don't serve fries, but the dish could have used a small addition to just the sandwich for the price.
Good amount of seating and nice vibe inside. Great option especially if you are downtown and need something vegan later at night.

The menu is fairly small these days but you can't go wrong with the Bordelaise burger. The sauce is takes it to another level.

The food was incredible. We got Mac and cheese croquettes and steak frites and both blew our minds. Absolutely loved the bartender who gave me 2 incredible and unique cocktails.

Vegan Bar - Edit
Not really “bar food,” but some is. I got the veggie burger and fries, and it was top-notch. My wife (vegan AF) got the cauliflower/veggie bowl (they were out of the mole/verde), and she really enjoyed it. Service really good, but in an indifferent kind of way.

Food and service is subpar - Edit
Used to be one of my favorite places. New menu is terrible and the bartender was rude. Started off ordering two cocktails off the menu and was told they didn't have the ingredients for them. Ordered the Mushroom Pate Slab. The menu clearly says it comes with baguette slices. Which it absolutely needs. When they brought it out and it didn't come with it I asked the bartender about it. Bartender became rude and defensive and argued that they were an "add on" and an extra cost. We also ordered the Mac and Cheese Croquettes just like it reads on the menu. They brought out the Croquettes and a side of Mac and Cheese. When I pointed out that we didn't order Mac and Cheese the bartender was again rude and tried to blame it on us. Even though that is exactly what it is called on the menu. Also ordered the Steak Frites. It lacked flavor and was dry and was a disappointment to say the least. What a terrible experience. I won't be back.

Very good! - Edit
In town for work and found this gem near where I was staying. It’s in an old hotel so the atmosphere was very cool. I had a French dip and fries. It was yummy. The menu is all plant-based which is awesome to not have to worry about what you’re ordering. Come support them. Need more places like this in the world.

Bar food - Edit
I just tried the seitan “steak-frites,” and it was decent but I couldn’t finish my portion as it was too oily and heavy on the pesto. The interior has a trendy vibe and is connected right to the hotel lobby.

Great atmosphere and amazing food! - Edit
We decided to finally check out Fortune - located in the Sentinel Hotel in downtown Portland. We both had an appetite because we had not eaten a lot all day.
Read moreWe got there about 4:45pm on a Friday night. There were a few tables with people eating but the place wasn't full. There is a board that tells you to order at the bar. So we went to the bar to order. We ordered the French Onion Soup, Rosemary and Parmesan Fries and the BBQ chicken wings. The bartender even made me an amazing mocktail. Still thinking about it today.
We were given a number to display on the table - we decided to sit by the window, it was a beautiful night for the end of February.
Shortly after we sat down our food came out - the presentation was really nice and we almost started eating before getting some photos!
Everything was really tasty - my boyfriend said the fries were the best he's had in a really long time. The little wings have a sugarcane bone so they were fun to eat and the BBQ sauce was really seasoned well.
I was super excited for the soup, it was really good but a little on the salty side. It came with little toasts so those helped cut the saltiness.
Our food and drink total came to $48.00 before tip.
It was a good night with good food. The atmosphere of the bar is really cozy and it's pretty big. There are a variety of places to sit - couches and a fireplace, also smaller tables with chairs and an area in the corner where 4 or 5 people can sit around a table in the corner.
Pros: Amazing mocktails., Lovely atmosphere , Great food
Cons: The hours.

Great atmosphere and comparable in price to non vegan restaurants. Drinks were on the strong side without being to much so. I had the Bordelaise Burger and flavor wise one of the best I had away from home.

I tried twice to like this place. - Edit
Had a bad experience here almost two years ago, completely forgot this place existed then randomly was booking a hotel and saw there was a vegan restaurant and was psyched. Immediately when I walked in I remembered my past experience but thought hey maybe they just had a bad night let’s give them another try. I wish I hadn’t, this is everything I hate about vegan restaurants, horrible horrible service and overpriced food. If you took a non vegan person here they would say this is exactly why I’m not vegan. It’s not that the food is bad, it’s just way overpriced and nothing special. These are the places that set veganism back imo. Isn’t the goal to make people not want to eat animal products? This isn’t the way.

I love the food and the bartenders. I don't drink alcohol, but the mocktails are delicious and the cocktails all sounded fun (my friend who drinks thoroughly enjoyed them). The space is large and manages to be both dark and bright due to the bold color choices.

Went here for a date night before a show at the Newmark Theater and was not disappointed. We loved the vibes - perfect for a date night and the food was delicious. I got the French Dip and my hubby got the burger with fries. My sandwich was so big I could only eat half. We also had a couple of tasty cocktails. Definitely would venture here again!

If you only have a few days in Portland, there are many other restaurants that are phenomenal. This one was okay, and it was very expensive for not much food. Stars for being fully vegan and making their own seitan. $17 sandwich with no side, barely left full. Good for cocktails if you’re just aiming for that
