Delicious Vegan Cajun - Edit
Stopped in whilst on a road trip for the first time and Frenchmen Street Food did not disappoint; food or service.
Read moreIt was a little warm inside and their menu (currently) doesn’t have as many options as their food truck.
Regardless of those small ‘qualms’ I will be visiting again if passing through GVL.
Pros: Great food, Friendly service
Cons: No dedicated parking

Friendly Vegan Soul - Edit
This place is one of the few vegan restaurants standing in Gainseville but is serving up some delicious vegan soul food. I had the hasbrowns with red beans and their "sham ham," which was delicious! Their red beans and rice with the sausage were also equally as tasty. I also tried their cajun tofu po'boy, which was fantastic as well. I'm sure everything on their menu must be delicious, and I can't wait to come back for more! The two men running g the place were also very friendly. Do note that the place is lacking good ventilation, so wear light layers, and you may get a little smelly. Completely worth it for the food though.

Fan of Frenchmen - Edit
Food was good, came out hot and tasted fresh. Tofu po’ boy had good flavor. If you want to spice it up there is a plethora of great hot sauces to choose from. Bbq soy-curl sandwich also slaps. The guys cooked the food right in front of us and made friendly conversation while we sat at the counter. There is also an option to load hashbrowns with toppings so we will need to come back.

Found this Truck by Chance! - Edit
We were finishing a bike ride and stopped at Magnitude Brewery. Lo and behold, the first vegan food truck I had ever seen (we are not from Gainesville). Food was excellent! My husband loved the red beans and rice with impossible sausage (he’s a meat eater). And the chef turned me on to Happy Cow app!

Best of the Best - Edit
These guys are the actual best. First off, they support the local rollerderby team which is amazing of them. Second, their food is amazing. Last minute ran to them at First Mag and tried their burger and it was amazing. But also I’ve had other items. Amazing food always full of flavor. They are also so chill and fun to talk to. I can’t wait for their brick and mortar location to open and I’ll be one of the first people to show up for them. Cant recommend them enough !!!

Great food, nice folks - Edit
Haven’t been as often since they stopped opening weekdays for lunch, but I have had a positive experience every time I have been. I love the Hawt Chik. My least favorite was the Beyond Sausage Po’ Boy but that speaks more to how good everything else is compared to it.

Best vegan food truck in town! - Edit
Love the hawt chick but you really can’t go wrong with anything you order. So flavorful, all vegan, all delicious - the only cruelty will be to your liking alley because you’ll want to eat it all the time 🤣

Vegan Cajun food truck - Edit
Check their Facebook page to find out where they’ll be! I ordered the Catfish’d sandwich and the Skrimp Po Boy, and a side of waffle fries. I would never guess that the catfish’d sandwich was tempeh! It was so good! The skrimp were also quite tasty. A nice change from the usual vegan burgers. Would love to see vegan boudin balls added to the menu!

Vegan Cajun! - Edit
This truck is nothing short of amazing. The owner is a vegan mastermind and everything on the menu is made from scratch (except the beyond products). I have yet to have a single item I didn’t love. Get the corn it’s addictive.
Read moreThe area the truck is set is also host to weekly event such as a farmers market in Thursday. Concerts also happen there fairly often.

Awesome food, nice dudes. - Edit
I just biked for a really long time and needed some killer vegan food after my ride. I ordered some delicious House made seitan and a chicken style sandwich with a side of red beans and rice. I'm excited to see some house maid options instead of just packaged things, and I'm ecstatic to see a unique side like red beans and rice instead of just fries.
Read moreThe guys working were super nice and came out and hung out for quite a while while we talked about music and touring and stuff. Turns out they're a bunch of punks and metalheads too, and we knew a lot of the same people and the same things even though I'm from over 1000 miles from here. I will definitely be back whenever I'm in town for good food and good hangs
Pros: Homemade seitan , Rice & beans as a side option!, Lots of hot sauces

Delicious Cajun Food!!! - Edit
New Orleans is one of my favorite cities because of the cuisine, so I’m so glad that I came across this food truck because it was amazing! I transitioned 7 years ago, and I’ve been looking for a vegan spot like this one. I barely came up for air while eating because of how good it everything tasted. I will definitely be returning.
