Wir waren mit vier Personen hier (davon vier Kinder) und waren sehr zufrieden. Die veganen „Beetburger“ (Rote-Bete-Burger) waren simpel, aber richtig super und die Pommes ebenfalls lecker.
Read moreTolle Saucenauswahl: Neben Ketchup gab es auch noch Curry-Ketchup, Mayo, eine scharfe Sauce und die hausgemachte Tataar-Sauce (eine Art cremige braune Sauce mit Pilzen) - sowie noch ein paar nicht vegane Saucen. Mir wurde vom Personal das Tartaar wärmstens empfohlen und ich geb die Empfehlung gern weiter, die war mega!
Sehr netter Service, superschnelle Bedienung (ich glaube wir haben nur etwa fünf Minuten gewartet, was gerade mit Kindern Gold wert ist!).
Pros: Es war alles sehr lecker, Highlight: die vegane Tartaar-Sauce, Sehr netter und schneller Service

Everything we tried was tasty and the service was good. Just one advice: the portions are huge! I had the smallest serving of fries and this was way too much. Next time, we will share the smallest portion of fries.

Among the better french fries in Gent, also nice portion sizes.

Quite some seating available and even if full when you arrive, spaces free up soon.

Crunchy and tasty Fries, the small Portion is really big and the Fries are on the Clean(!) Tablet, as you can See in the Pictures.

Huge portions sizes! But with crunchy delicious fries that makes wants you to eat more than you really have room for 😅 also had the falafel kroket and vegan mayonnaise as dip. Yummi! Hopefully they continue to add more vegan options.

Very tasty croquettes and falafels - Edit
I’ve been to frituur tartaar three times now, and each time has been amazing, a small portion of frites is enough to share (in my mind) between 2-3 people, depending on how hungry you are, so it is a bit more affordable.

Very few options, almost never broccoli... - Edit
Frituur Tartaar makes delicious food, but there are very little vegetarian or vegan options. Their best veggie food is by far the broccoli beignets, but they’re almost always “out of it”. They’re never out of it, they’re simply too lazy to make them. It has happened a few times to me that I was there with meat/cheese eating friends and the only option for me besides fries would’ve been the broccoli. Every time they said that “they were out”, but if you ask very nicely or just say “well then I don’t have anything to eat here”, they suddenly say, it’s possible to have the beignets... just takes a bit longer.

The few vegan things they had were ok (fries, veg burger, falafel) and the price is quite average. However, things that are dipped in dough are not vegan since it requires eggs, e.g. broccoli beignets or other vegetables.

The queue can sometimes be lengthy, in which they take your order and ask you to pay, and then you have to wait a long time to get your food.

The fries are good, the homemade tartar sauce is nice. The vegan "stoverij"-sauce is dominated by the celery. Which ... makes it unique, but I don't know if that's a good thing.

Nice place to eat delicious Belgian French fries that are not fried in animal oil. There is vegan stofvlees sauce and it's very tasty!

Read moreWe had the fries and falafels a few days ago, but since they ran out of broccoli beignets, we had to return today to try those as well. All of them were perfect, with the best homemade vegan tartare sauce. Definitely going to return for more!
UPDATE: I just returned for the brocoli beignets with tartare sauce and whereas last time they assured me that they were vegan, this time they told me they both contain eggs and are NOT VEGAN. Not trustworthy. Don't lie about not putting chicken menstruation in other people's food! Better go to De Frietketel or Frituur De Papegaai.

A very popular and busy place, too much fried stuff...if your into that. Not many vegan options, the broccoli are NOT vegan, it has eggs on it. The girl attending people is really nice and help me change the broccoli to falafel. The falafel sucked to me. Chips and vegan mayo was okay.
