So many tasty options! - Edit
This place has a lot of selection of fresh, creative Mediterranean dishes. Also good for Gluten free and WFPB. They even gave my bf a refill after he finished his hummus! Recommend highly fried cauliflower and sweet potato fritter.

Really good hummus and veggies - Edit
Some new friends brought me to Garger Hazahav yesterday. It's in a neighborhood with several hummus restaurants and dried fruit & nut stores.
Read moreHummus restaurants (a new concept for me) are places with hummus, pita bread, and side dishes. They are all vegan friendly. And, it turns out there is a website in Hebrew called:
http://vegan-friendly.co.il/
which is an index of vegan friendly places in Israel
You can ask for an English menu at Garger Hazahav. The entire menu is vegan, so no problem ordering anything! And, it's all good. A sign on the wall shows that Garger Hazahav offers hard boiled eggs, the only thing that isn't vegan in the place. Even the dessert is vegan: Malabi, which is a pudding, normally made with cow milk. The one they gave me had strawberries on top. Very yummy.
There are three kinds of hummus: chickpeas, ful (big white beans), and some other kind that I couldn't understand (but which was really good). If you get the half and half hummus, you get chick peas and this other.
The side dishes we got and shared were: eggplant, eggplant with tomatoes, roasted cauliflower (my favorite), zucchini, tomato/cucumber salad, deep fried sweet potatoes, (and three others I can't remember now). All tasty. This comes with plenty of good pita bread, with Turkish coffee or mint tea afterward.
The large hummus is a lot of food!
There is indoor and outdoor seating.
This is a popular place, so if you want to eat right away, go on off hours.
The staff was way busy, but super friendly. They all spoke English when I was there.
Pros: really good vegan food, friendly
Cons: can be busy
