A lovely menu with lots of delicious vegan meals. Very different to the ‘substitutes’ we get thrown at us. I had grilled avocado with cucumber and tomato salsa on a bed of hummus with deep fried tempeh. I still squeezed in a slice of blueberry cashew cheesecake.

Sehr gute Speisen. Etwas teuer und die Portionen reichen nicht für einen Heißhunger. Aber hier geht's um Qualität, und das wird ohne Zweifel erfüllt. Sehr zu empfehlen!

Unfortunately my friend and me took both the lemon risotto and it didn‘t hit our taste. The texture was like milkrice but cooked with water and then just added some lemon juice. It was not satisfying at all.😒
Read moreTo be fair, the other dishes from the people next to us looked at least more tasty. I liked the vodka with lavendel and lemon and also the woman who did the service. The portions are very small, she served the dishes and told us we could have a second serving if we want more (we rejected it due to the taste :()

Good food, but very poor service - Edit
Unfortunately I have to agree on the former writer's criticism. Upon our arrival, our reservation couldn't be recognized, but we were lucky and got a table. The restaurant is incredibly loud and you had to scream to converse, so not recommended for cozy dates or relaxed dinner. At some point, they put up an extra table in front of the bar entrance to seat more people. I also saw three people sharing a table the size of a sheet of paper. Gratitude towards the money is surely there. The menu and the drinks took some time to be brought, upon requesting where a forgotten juice was, the waiter reacted very rude, telling us he had everything under control (which he obviously didn't). If you understand some German, there is some replies by Gratitude to bad reviews on google maps, where upon the complaint about the lack of space it was recommended to lose some weight. Treating paying customers like that is rude and absolutely unprofessional. Staff and waiters seemed stressed, hurried and unhappy. Our bill was charged with extra drinks as well. The only positive thing is the taste of the food, even though the prices are a little bit too high for the very small portions. The laksa curry was filling but the noodles were very slippery and almost impossible to eat, tastewise good but not outstanding. My neighbour had the hummus sweet potato dish and I felt sorry for him because he surely was hungry afterwards. I don't recommend this place and surely will not come back in the future.

I got there late in the evening due to my flight so I wasn't able to try the food because the kitchen closed, but I had to write this review because I had never been so ignored in my life. I walked there for half an hour because it was fully vegan and was very thirsty by the time I got there. The waiter reluctantly showed me to a table after his colleague told him to, and then took his sweet time to take my order. I made eye contact with him several times and showed I was ready to order with body language, but it took good 20 minutes for him to finally arrive. Also, he was the only one working a full terrace and interior and didn't have any sense of urgency. There was no water to be ordered from the menu ( save for the 7.5 euro big bottle) so I ordered a radler, and it was disgusting, as if someone melted a hard lemon candy inside a regular beer. To top it all off, when I quickly got to the register to pay and get out of there, he told me I couldn't pay by card but cash only, although I checked on here that they accepted cards. So bare that in mind if you have no other option but to go here. I wouldn't recommend it.

The ravioli were very tasty, good wine selection, and overall the entire menu looked great. We didn't try the cocktails but the bar also looked quite promising. The only problem was the service, the waitress who served us was really dry and not friendly at all. Hopefully this will improve soon.

Going back for the Risotto! - Edit
I had the green asparagus and fennel risotto, which was just fantastic. I sincerely hope I can make it back sometime to enjoy it again! The texture was a bit different for a risotto, smoother and almost like a pudding, but excellent, and overall the flavors were just great. I loved how the arugula was seasoned, the sprouts added a perfect little complementary touch, and the toasted seeds were a great little crunchy addition. And of course, the fennel and asparagus were terrific. I also tried the mango avocado creme for dessert, which was unique and fun to try, though not quite as much of a stand out dish as the risotto. Still, I enjoyed it quite a bit and would get it again as well!

Good quality vegan food and interesting combos. Small menu that changes regularly. A bit pricy. Service is friendly and attentive. As the restaurant is quite small and busy I would recommend booking a table in advance.

5-Star dinner and a superb service - Edit
The Gratitude is run by new and awesome owners since the end of 2021. The boss himself is behind the bar and mixes the best cocktails, while his wife lovingly takes care of the guests in the service. Our time there was a real highlight. The staff is very accommodating, friendly, helpful and humorous. We felt warmly welcomed at all times. Above that they serve outstandingly delicious food. We were blown away by the many different flavors. All the plates were beautifully arranged and you can tell that the chef pay attention to detail. We quickly realized that this was going to be our new favorite restaurant, as we have rarely eaten such delicious food when eating out. The Gratitude puts quite a few restaurants to shame with its offerings. If you don't try it out for yourself, you're missing out😊.

We went to Gratitude for dinner last night. Beforehand we had to make a reservation otherwise there would be no free table. Defo very tiny tables and just a small selection on the menu. 3 different starters, 3 main courses and three desserts available. We had the grilled artichokes and the taco as starter and both were delicious 😋. Main dishes were the grilled eggplant and the Marrakech bowl, both 16,00€. Here we were slightly disappointed. The food was good and of high quality but cold and we didn't expect that. The only warm part was the eggplant, but both dishes come with cold couscous. Size of the portions was not the biggest. All together we would go again cause the bar and the atmosphere is really nice. We both had a glass of wine which costed 7,90€.

Ich war dort Abendessen unter der Woche. Der Service war super freundlich und schnell. Wir hatten zu zweit drei Vorspeisen, die wirklich schnell kamen und auch super lecker waren, aber nicht besonders außergewöhnlich gut. Die Hauptspeise ließ viel von sich erwarten („Wassermelonensteak“). Auch dieses Gericht war super gut, aber ein wenig enttäuschend ausgehend von dem Namen. Ich ziehe also einen Stern ab, weil ich finde dass man für diesen Preis etwas mehr erwarten könnte, aber das Essen trotzdem ganz wunderbar ist.

Strangely, the dessert could not live up to that standard (we had a chocolate and a cheese cake made out of cashews).
Atmosphere:
I love how it feels more like a bar (relaxed, raw), cause that kind of food you normally find in a more stiff and formal restauraunt.
Service:
Nice people, but they seem to be a little understaffed and stressed, so be patient (which is totally fine for me as it leaves more time for socializing😉).
Price:
Pricier than your average vegan place, but inexpensive with regard to the quality.
