Got the Van Gough burrito and it was delicious. My partner got the Good Life bowl and was very satisfied as well. Coffee was also great! Will definitely keep this place in mind for good breakfast options!

Decent breakfast option - Edit
Several vegan breakfast options, bottled juices, vegan muffins, and coffee.
Read moreI had juice and a vegan breakfast burrito. It was good enough that I'd go back especially given how hard it is to find vegan breakfast but I wasn't blown away by anything.

Good Vegan Choices for Breakfast/Lunch - Edit
I’ve tried a number of the vegan dishes at this Green Sage location and all have been quite good. The “Gimme Tofu” sounds kinda rude to order unless you emphasize ‘please’ after it 😊. That and the Van Gough Burrito are both good breakfast choices. The Tempeh TLT, the Veggie Hummus Wrap, and the Havana Bowl are all tasty options for lunch.
Read morePros: Vegan options clearly labeled on the menu, Many ingredients organically sourced, Great staff
Cons: Not 100% vegan or even 100% vegetarian…

The tofu scramble was very tasty, and portions were pretty large. We recommend ordering it with the tempeh bacon, flavored with maple syrup- so delish!

Nice staff, food pretty good - Edit
Staff was very knowledgeable about vegan options (and there are lots!). I do find it odd that there is a dollar upcharge for vegan bread ??! Bro most bread is vegan. Not even the GF kind! Partner had the vegan BLT avocado sandwich and it was great!! Super flavorful! I had the kale plate with tofu scramble which was pretty good, but nothing outstanding.

Lots of options - Edit
Perfect breakfast/lunch spot with clear vegan options. I got the Appalachian trail plate with tempeh soysage and tofu scramble. The sausage was good but the tofu scramble was pretty dry. The root hash and toast were excellent and even had the option of vegan butter for the toast!

Be careful - Edit
I’ve been trying to give this place chances and was again disappointed so finally writing a review. Have been given non vegan items with my vegan meal. They didn’t see to be apologetic at all, customer service needs some work.

Eggs and cheese are served for the non-vegan folk but the vegan options are really what shine. The breakfast bowls made vegan are amazing and the portions are well worth the price. The unique tea lattes are also worth the try. I would definitely recommend the turmeric golden milk latte!

Everything I’ve ever ordered from Green Sage has been delicious! My current fave is the Phoenix Wrap with tempeh and avocado. The breakfast burrito with tempeh and avo is also to die for. I love that they sub avo for cheese without charging extra. All sides are vegan and the mayo is vegan as well!

i love green sage! my favs: yogi curry bowl with tempeh, pura vida breakfast bowl sub out eggs for tofu scramble, avocado TLT with brown rice tabbouleh, matcha latte (made with real vanilla bean!), pristine green juice which comes in handy reusable glass bottles. also recommend the miso bowl & beet burger also tasty, & they can do vegan coconut milk milkshakes! i got the golden milk one. seems like the bad attitudes from staff (which u may see mentioned in other reviews) has been resolved over the past year.

Vegan menu keeps expanding! - Edit
(As an Asheville resident vegan) Green Sage has long been a reliable option for good vegan food, with a variety of options. And, they have always had a couple of vegan baked goods in their display case, always labeled with a sign. I went in as I was driving by to work, to get a vegan baked goody, and was shocked to see that all of the baked goods were vegan. I asked the woman behind the counter, and she said, “After the new climate change report came out, we decided to make all of our baked goods vegan”. Hurray for them!
