Best matcha dessert ever! - Edit

The tatami rooms with view into a little garden, very healthy food and friendly sraff. The raw matcha tiramisu was the best matcha dessert I've ever had! 💚
The family also runs a hair dresser/ beauty salon in the same building, but unfortunately, their products aren't all vegan, apparently.

Great 100% buckwheat noodle and soup - Edit
I tried for the first time both Dattan buckwheat noodle and veggie soup, together with mini salad. Every dish was awesome and made me feel full of nutrients. The shopmaster said they're not using any artificial ingredients or addictives, which is their main concept. Also I was amazed that every employee working here has a lunch that is fully plant based. This is a fantastic activity. It definitely had more value than price. The space I sat in was cosy and comfortable, so for foreign travellers you can take a short rest in your groups own small space. 5 stars for anyone who is not only in vegan diet, but for anyone who needs real quality food in Japan!

Lovely lunch spot near Kamigamo shrine - Edit
A hidden gem near the Kamo river, Ikuri cafe offers a tasty menu of buckwheat noodles, fresh salads, sourdough toasts, veggie burger platter, smoothies, herbal teas, coffee, natural wine, beer and vegan desserts. It has tatami room seating overlooking a garden in a beautifully designed building that combines a hair salon , natural beauty products sales and an all day cafe. The staff is welcoming and friendly, the service is efficient and there is a basic English menu. If you’re walking along the Kamo river, visiting the Kamogamo shrine or market or just want to get away from the center of the city, this is a great destination on a Kyoto city bus route.
