Delicious option for mixed dietary needs - Edit
I’m vegan & traveling with my 2 non-vegan family members.
Read moreNice, cozy atmosphere to grab a drink or meal. Dined with a lot of locals having their work knock-off drinks.
A handful of vegan options, vegan olives and bread started and vegan pasta main super yummy. Local wine and beer options too.
Pros: Fresh ingredients , Local drinks, Cozy atmosphere
Cons: Smoking in eating area (seems to be European thing

A good experience - Edit
All in all, the visit to Kalaset was a really good experience. It was cozy and a good atmosphere. I had a three course vegan menu and it tasted excellent. However, there are very few vegan dishes to choose from. That's why the vegan menu is three stars, but I give four for the total experience.

There's many vegetarian options, but few vegan options. The vegan options are filling and interesting however.

Okay - Edit
The food was fine, just average, nothing really to write home about. The setting was cute but lacked comfort.

Good but not wauw - Edit
I had the tofu porcini brunch plate, which consisted of bread with a pestoish spread, seasoned tofu cubes, grilled red pepper and carrot, salad, a falafel and some beetroot hummus/spread. All in all it was tasty, but I expected a bit more, as it was a brunch plate for 135,-. The falafel also didn’t seem homemade, but of course it might be. The place was cosy and the staff were very friendly though, and it was easy enough to bring small kids, who had pancakes (not vegan) which they loved!

Disappointing and expensive - Edit
I came here as the only vegan in a group of omnis. We picked this place for breakfast because it also had vegan options, however, these were limited to a savory brunch plate, banana bread, or a yoghurt. I had the first one of these three, which consisted of two slices of bread, topped with guacamole and a tofu mushroom bolognese, as well as one falafel and some grilled veggies with beetroot hummus, salsa and ketchup. All in all, it sounded pretty good on paper, although falafels and grilled veggies are pretty unimaginative, standard vegan options you get almost everywhere, so nothing I personally get excited about. Unfortunately, not only was everything cold (especially the grilled veggies did NOT taste good cold), but I also found the flavors to be bland and underwhelming, especially for 135 Kr (€18, not including drinks). I'm aware that Copenhagen is expensive but if I'm going to spend that much money on breakfast I expect better value for money. Some others in our group also found that their non-vegan food was lacking in flavor. The staff was nice and the interior was cool but in the end the food did not convince us.

Cooler Ort, nettes Personal - Edit

Fine, a few options - Edit
Visited for lunch, saw on the menu that there's a vegan brunch plate for 135, or an avocado falafel toast as the vegan options. At dinner time there's different food available. I had the toast and a juice for 100 together. The toast was okay, nothing spectacular but it was nice enough. The staff were friendly and the place seemed to have a relaxed chill vibe.

Great vegan brunch - Edit
We ordered two caffes with oat milk, a smoothie, fresh orange juice, two brunch plates and banana bread.
Read moreIt was really tasty. The banana bread was a little too sweet (some kind of syrup was on top). The rest was great and the brunch plate had great vegan options that weren't just jam and hummus: vegan scrambled tofu, guacamole, beetroot hummus, baba ganoush, bread, some kind of yogurt, a smoothie "shot", fresh fruit, falafel
Would really recommend going here for breakfast/brunch :)

A little underwhelming - Edit
We ate lunch here and I ordered a sort of ‘veggie plate’ that came with scramble tofu, a small salad, rye toast, falafel and avocado and it wasn’t anything super amazing. The salad was just a few lentils and rocket in a tiny bowl, with literally one chip on the top which was weird, the falafel was super cold and I’m not sure it was fresh ? The scramble tofu wasn’t amazing either, not sure what the taste was but it didn’t taste like tofu and had a very odd consistency ..
Read morethe portion was good and it was cheaper than somewhere like Souls but yea definitely wasn’t anything special, probably wouldn’t want to pay to eat out and expect something like that ...
boyfriend said his burger was good though so who knows

Good but small for the price - Edit
Vegan brunch was good but small given the price. Also, does not include coffee, just a (good tasting) plate. Vegan Nutella used to be much better (I came two years ago), now it's not so interesting, and they don't give any bread to go with it.

Nice Cosy Cafe with Clearly Marked Options - Edit
Nice cafe near the city centre. Their vegan options are clearly marked but can be a bit boring. Quite expensive - we got pancakes with two iced lattes and it was 225 dkk (£25). Nice food though. They also offer crisp bread while you wait with homemade vegan nutella and jams. Their staff speak great English, there are English menus, and a tap on the bar for water.
