Form over substance - Edit
[EN] Honestly, I came to this place with a positive attitude after seeing so many positive reviews online. The spot has a nice vibe cause it is styled like an Asian street food market, where you can feel exotically. The order is placed on a piece of paper by writing down numbers and pressing the button.
Read moreThat's where the pluses end because, unfortunately, the dishes were very small for the price. We did not eat ours fill at all. In addition, the veggies were al dente and did not blend well with melting tteokbokkis.
I think that this place has so many positive reviews because of the exotic atmosphere there. In my view, it is a form over substance - I would prefer to eat delicious Korean food in a less lit decor.
Pros: Nice decor and vibe
Cons: Mediocre food, small portions

Fantastisch! - Edit

The food is delicious and well spiced. The atmosphere in and also around Kkokki is very good. The drinks are also very nice, especially the mango lassi.

Amazing vegan Korean food - Edit
Lovely place to try out different Korean food, all vegan! We went there for dinner and no reservations was necessary. Tapas as well as the main courses were extremely delicious. Very friendly waitresses/waiters and super fast preparation. Great vegan place 🤭

Super delicious but small portions - Edit
We ordered online here. Was super excited to try tteokbokki but unfortunately, it was too spicy for us (although we can handle spice quite well usually). Chicken mix was delicious tho, would definitely recommend

Pretty good!! - Edit
Food was yummy, unfortunately service was a bit slow and not the friendliest, and they were out of dessert. Personally I'd love to see a few more protein options too!

Really good food - Edit
The food is really good, portions are plenty.

The second location in Osterstraße feels more cozy to me.
Pros: All vegan

Lovely food - Edit
Kkokki is just amazing, we shared some small dishes (crispy tofu fresh spring roll and the mungbohnen jeon) and I had the Suntofu kimchi Jjigae for my main.

WE LOVE KKOKKI VEGAN HOUSE - Edit
The meals were just perfect. It tasted sooo good. I had high expectations because I wanted to be immersed into South Korean food and style. We need Kkokki in (Flanders) Belgium! The best vegan restaurant I’ve ever went to. Loving the vibe too! Also very friendly waiters. I’ll be dreaming about this food for a long time. The watermelon drink was *chef’s kiss*, the flavours of the meals were 10/10. I wish tteokkbokki was not so spicy due to the gochujang but I get it! It’s part of the original experience. You HAVE TO VISIT when you’re an hour (or even more!) away from Hamburg. Like it’s a must. Do not skip. You’ll never know what you’ll miss, but I will know because the good flavours will always stay in my memories.

Good, not mind-blowing - Edit
3.5 stars if HappyCow would let me. I think I let the hype raise my expectations too much. I had both the tofu/cauliflower fried chicken combo and the tteokbokki. Both were quite good, sure, but were they radically different from other Korean restaurants I’ve ate at? No, not really.
Read moreFor that matter, since the gochujang was easily the dominant flavor of both dishes, it didn’t taste much different from what I made at home. I did, however, definitely not once the €22 bill compared to cooking at home.

Vegan Korean in Hamburg - Edit
I particularly liked the Korean restaurant. It's a unique place, with a very interesting and bright decor. And ordering is done in an unusual way: you write your order on a piece of paper with a pen and hand it to the waiter, writing your table number in a circle. The attendant spoke a good English. Delicious dishes, although in not very large quantities, super tasty, very Korean and slightly overpriced.
Read moreParticularmente gostei bastante do restaurante coreano.

The sacred place in Schanze - Edit
Probably the most iconic vegan restaurant in Hamburg. Interior is very photogenic, staff was very lovely and super polite, and clientel was amazing as well. The menu seems small but still it's super hard to choose, especially if you love Korean food. They have more known staples like gimbab, mandu, bibimbap and ddokbokki (behold of the chili sign, they're not playing), but also more home-style items like kimchi jeon. Everything we tasted here so far was amazing. Only in my dakgalbi there was very little tiny rice cake pieces, next time Imma take the ddeokbokki then.

great food - Edit
We ordered four tapas items to share between two people - tempura, spring rolls, potstickers, and potatoes. All of it was tasty, especially the potstickers and tempura. Seated right away on a Saturday night, no reservation. Cozy, casual atmosphere. Friendly staff.

Super leckeres koreanisches Essen 😍 - Edit

Awesome Korean food - Edit
This restaurant manages to give you the real streetfood experience and super delicious food. The main course was so filling, i could not even try the Tapas. The imported drinks are pure sugar but something special, i liked them. Also no one pushes you to order, you can take your time to choose something and ring the bell when you are ready to order. Great place, highly recommended.

Amazing restaurant for introverts. You have to order by writing it on paper and then ring the bell to call the staff to grab that paper. No one ask you if you are ready to order many times. Food is tasty. Many authentic dishes to choose from.

Too spicy for my personal taste, but the soft drink with mango was delicious! The dish I enjoyed the most were the tofu and cauliflower bites.
