It’s okay - Edit
It’s got a decent vegan menu but it was disappointing to learn it used to be fully vegan. It always really disappoints me when places do that, feels like a betrayal, especially for this place as koshari is a naturally vegan dish anyway.
Read moreThe food itself had a range of textures which I liked, but I found the overall flavour slightly bland.

Tasty but expensive for what it is - Edit
I’ve been going here for a few years & it’s tasty and comforting, but prices have gone up and I no longer feel like it’s great value.

Perfect pot - Edit
Koshari is one of our favourite meals (we cook it at home) so it was such a delight to introduce husband to Koshari Street. A shame to see they’ve started serving meat but definitely worth a visit if you are in central London!

Warm and filling - Edit
Having wanted to try this for years I was a little bit disappointed to find it’s just tomato pasta really, with some lentils and chickpeas, and a bit of onion and spice mix on top. I think I was expecting something much hotter and spicier and different. That said it was nice, and lovely that there are several vegan options to choose from.

Nourishing, Tasty, Fast - Edit
I chose the Plant Power Bowl. Was extremely tasty, great portion size. It’s quick takeaway food which is good on the go and they use sustainable packaging. Reasonable pricing. Unique Egyptian flavours. 4 stars for fast food.

Koshari Street - Edit
Koshari offers vegan Egyptian food in Central London, which is an exciting option available for vegans to try. The vegan option I tried was good but tasted average to me. The food was cheap compared to other places and had interesting/layered flavors, but I had to salt my food a ton before I really liked it. Overall, Koshari Street would be a great quick lunch option for those who live in London, but personally this is not a place I'd go out my way to eat at while on vacation/holiday.

Best vegan snack lunch in town - Edit
I’ve had koshari in Egypt and this is better than the local version! They’ve really worked hard to develop the vegan menu and it’s amazing now.

Delicious - Edit
I was unfamiliar with koshari, but it is delicious. Most of the menu is vegan (so much so that it’s the non-vegan items that are labeled on the menu). The flavor combination is familiar and unusual at the same time. I ordered the fava bowl, and it was more than enough for a hearty lunch (I ate too much but it was that good).

Brilliant Koshari - Edit
I've been to this place almost a million times and the vegan option is simply fantastic.

Not really somewhere you'd take someone for a date - there's a smallish bar where you can eat at.

Amazingness in a pot - Edit
Seriously, up against Purezza lasagna, this is my favourite London meal. I am absolutely besotted with the flavour combination. It’s explosively delicious. I always get the biggest pot 😂

Big meal - Edit
Me and my friend both has the koshari, although it was tasty, it was slightly sickening, might have been due to the fact that it was a big meal.

Koshari is incredible for filling up on all those delicious carbs, whether as a snack of a full meal, and this place does it right. A taste of Egypt right in London.

Great, filling vegan meal - Edit
It's lovely to have such a delicious vegan option near Covent Garden. They do have meat options, but the standard koshari is vegan. I find the classic size very filling, but they do have a large size as well. A few counter seats available.

Honestly having difficulties understanding how Vegans like this type of food. It's extremely bland and just getting flavours of the tomatoe puree sauce which is straight out a tin. I was excited making my order but very quickly let down when I began eating it.

Koshari Street impressed all the way around. The food was delicious, the price was right, and the staff was friendly and helpful. We'll definitely visit again the next time we're in Covent Garden.

A gem of a find near Covent Garden! - Edit
We were looking for somewhere to get a tasty and quick vegan lunch before a visit to the ballet at the Royal Opera House, and found this place on Happy Cow. We're so glad we did, because the food was absolutely delicious! 'Koshari Street' is a small place that offers take-out food, or you can eat-in, as we did, at some counter stools. The place is modern and clean, and the lady serving at the counter was helpful and friendly. Koshari is an Egyptian street food dish which consists of a delicious and healthy mix of lentils, rice and macaroni, topped with a spicy tomato sauce, chickpeas and caramelised onions. The food is great value and their is a choice of sizes of bowls. They also do a brilliant value meal deal. The salads and drinks that came with the meal deal were also very good. We'll definitely be going back to this great little vegan place the next time we are in the Covent Garden area.

Not bad - Edit
Don't expect to be blown away by this place. It's pre-made koshari that they put in a pot with a few trimmings and hand to you. However if you want some vegan, relatively healthy fast food, this place is great.
Read moreThe food is pre-made, so there is zero wait time, and there were seven seats (and zero other customers), so I had the option of eating in.
Whilst eating, I didn't especially approve of a conversation between the two girls working there about how they were sick but... well it didn't put me off the good food.
Recommended if you're nearby and want a quick meal, not a place to go out of your way for though.

Excellent - Edit
This is in my street for the past two years. Why the hell don't they say they're vegetarian on the door? Had one just now, it was absolutely epicly delicious. Perfect street food. Mad hot sauce wasn't really that mad, but you knew it was there. I'll be back, many times.
