Probably the best vegan food we tried in Madrid. Fantastic service and lovely decor. The burgers are amazing, nice to see some initiative and not just the same old generic style as everywhere else. The thought and effort that has been put into everything make for a memorable experience. Comfortable seating, friendly and not at all overbearing service.

This week, I went out to eat with some friends after reading glowing reviews about the place. Right off the bat, we asked for water, but it never arrived—our first red flag 🚩. When the food finally came, it had this odd, bitter taste that was hard to ignore. And it wasn’t just me; my friends noticed it too. But the real nightmare started later that day: I began experiencing stomach cramps and diarrhea. I checked in with my friends on WhatsApp, and sure enough, those who had ordered the same dish were dealing with the same issues. To put it bluntly, it was a disaster. I’m never setting foot in that place again, and I’ll make sure to warn everyone I know: avoid it at all costs. The service is subpar, the food is questionable, and you might just end up in the hospital. A truly awful experience 🤢

De los mejores restaurantes veganos que he ido en mi vida. Me llamó la atención ver que tienen un Menú del Día entre semana a €12. Tienen platos españoles e internacionales. Pedí una milanesa con berenjena estupenda (hecha a base de soja, alubias y arroz). Me gustó mucho como se entrelaza el veganismo con un sentido de responsabilidad y justicia social. Ya quiero regresar a probar el resto del menú. Muy altamente recomendado.

Such a cool place. Maybe one of my favourite stops anywhere. The staff were great, the food was delicious. It was extremely busy at 3pm on a Wednesday afternoon. Definitely make a booking if you don't want to miss out. It really feels like everyone here cares, which is a great feeling. I wish there was a place like this in every town!

I went to La Oveja Negra for lunch. I got the menu of the day, which was a cocido madrileño, which comprised a noodle soup, and a mixed plate of chickpeas, seitan, veggies and dumplings. The menu of the day also includes a dessert or a coffee, I got an almond milk latte. The menu price is €12, and I got a Fritz Cola which was €2 extra.

La Oveja Negra is located just a short walk from Lavapiés metro station, and can be combined with a trip to the nearby Planeto Vegano grocery.

Had empanaditas, croquettes and spinach (and hummus) wrap and everything was delicious! Went with an omnivore friend who loved it too. The atmosphere is nice, cozy and relaxing and the staff is very friendly. I highly recommend it and will definitely go again when in Madrid.

A vegan restaurant offering traditional Spanish food. I ordered for delivery. The food was very good overall. I especially liked the seitan wrap and the croquettes. They also have desserts available for delivery. The portions are a bit small, but the price is reasonable.
