Great Vegan Place in the Heart of Centro - Edit
I stayed at an Airbnb 6 mins walk away from La Ruta and ate there once a day for a week, always trying something different. The menu is fantastic and has quite a nice variety. I like how they made vegan cheese with potato. The nachos tasted really good with this type of homemade cheeze.
Read moreThe burgers were good, as were the tacos and the vegetable pasta and the udon dish. only dish I didn’t care for was the pizza as I found the dough too spongy and undercooked. They often have two for the price of one specials. My favorite dish was the tacos capeados.
The staff was wonderful and the service was excellent.
The really neat space was casual and relaxed.

I had the torta and it had amazing flavor. My partner had the alfredo pasta and it tasted homemade 😋. The brownie was also very good! Highly recommended 👌

Good Vegan food in Mazatlan - Edit
La Ruta Vegana was our first vegan restaurant in Mazatlán. We ate there twice and also took some food home with us. Our waiter, José, was cheerful, attentive and knew the menu well. We tried the Torta (sandwich), Super Special Hamburger and Pizza and enjoyed them all. The service was great. The brownies they served for dessert were served warm with chocolate syrup over the top and neatly ringing the plate. It is located in an older home in “Centro” not far from where the cruise ships dock. The owner bakes the brownies and we were fortunate to be the recipients of a couple of “test” brownies that did not meet her expectations but were delicious as were the other foods we tried. If visiting Mazatlán be sure to include La Ruta Vegana in your plans.

Visited with brother and cousins who aren't vegan and they were all very impressed, including myself. So many options to choose from at a very affordable price! I recommend the soy burger and the soy bolognese pasta.

Great place. Me and my husband were staying about 200m away on holiday in Mazatlán so we had to try it! We had both pasta dishes and they were very nice.

...and quick delivery on top of that. The baked potato was more loaded with toppings than I expected, and the potato by itself was actually really good. Hawaiian burger with a very generous hunk of pineapple and a wee bag of fries. Good stuff, and plenty for 2 (or even 3) people.

I’ve just realized that, over several years of having eaten at La Ruta Vegana, I have never written a review. In truth, LRV doesn’t need another review to tempt you to eat there; it’s long-established and has a great reputation.
Read moreOur favorite dish is probably the cauliflower wings, which are only available on the weekend. Some of the burgers are quite good, too, though the pizzas have left us a bit less than satisfied. Sometimes, they bring out free ceviche, which is really good.

Hands down best vegan comfort food in town! We eat here at least once a week and it never disappoints. We love everything about it! Sometimes they have specials like beyond burgers or lotus biscoff cakes, yum!

Amazing food! Loved every bite. I love supporting vegan restaurant whenever possible but they make it so easy because the food is delicious. Vegan desserts too! The people were incredibly kind and the atmosphere was lovely and comfortable. I had the tacos and a quesadilla, with raspberry pie for dessert and every bite was fantastic. It all tasted fresh and flavorful! 💚💚💚💚💚

Staff are super friendly and there was plenty of seating for the small space. We enjoyed the pasta with mushroom and the house salad with french fries. The dressing was fantastic and the fries were well season and crispy.

This was really a top find! Tomorrow we come back. They have really amazing burgers, but the best are the fajita's with seitan. They make the seitan theirselfes and you can even by them extra to go home. We had the fajitas, de burger and 2 drinks and paid 230 pesos. Portions are big. Then we were treated with extra free desert😄top place!

Food here was really good! Got some chips with scrambled tofu( I think), and had a delicious burger with a super tasty mushroom (I forget what it is called when it's a huge mushroom) . Nice restaurant to read your book, do some work and have a great meal. Didnt try any dessert, but they looked absolutely amazing.
