I went here 5 years ago, stumbled upon it by accident and had a quaint table out in the sunhine.I had one of the calzones and it was amazing, don't miss out on the garlic oil too! Can't rate high enough. Can't wait to return.

This was my second time here - the last time I came in September 2021 and also thought the pizza was insanely good. But I think the one we got this time with smoked tofu and mushrooms blew my mind a bit. Do not miss!

Definitely make a reservation, the restaurant is small and always busy - with good reason. The pizzas are tasty and made with some quality ingredients. They make vegan cheese and seitan in house. We had the diavola and spinachi bianca pizzas and can recommend them both. The tiramisu was light and yummy, and we ordered the large antipasti plate which was just alright.

Great pizza but disappointing service - Edit
This is only a small restaurant and it gets busy so I would recommend booking in advance. They have an interesting selection of pizzas and other dishes. We went for the Patate E Funghi (potatoes, smoked tofu, vegan cheese) and the Spinaci Bianca (spinach, vegan cheese, vegan ricotta, roasted walnuts). Both pizzas were delicious! I particularly enjoyed the Patate E Funghi – the smoked tofu was so good and I really enjoyed the potatoes too. The best part of both pizzas for me was the vegan cheese – it was just so creamy and flavoursome!
Read moreUnfortunately I couldn't give this place a 5 as our service was disappointing. Our server was cold and it felt like we were more of a nuisance than customers. When she delivered our drinks, she slammed them down on the table and then sloppily poured water into our glasses, splashing it on the table with no apology and then just walking off. Her whole demeanour was very cold every time we interacted with her and at the end we actually waited until another server came past to ask her for the bill as we were slightly scared of our original server. The other server who dealt with our bill was lovely though.

Trip to Berlin isn't complete without eating here. In first evening we had 2 white pizzas and on second night I had calzone and my partner has pasta.

We had a few appetizers, a pizza and a pasta dish and everything was lovely. The polenta fries and antipasto were really nice! The vegan cheese they make in-house is way better than any of the store bought stuff.

Tried the pizza with the seitan salami and loved it. The pizza dough was really good, especially after having tried some recommended places that were a disappointment after all.

The best Italian in Berlin - Edit
Living a ten minute walk from here is dangerous. The food is truly exceptional, and the staff are always so nice and friendly. GET A RESERVATION - most nights you will not succeed at getting a table without one (though they also do take away). I've been here a half dozen times, and every one is a joy. The pizzas are cooked to perfection - we always get a couple of pizzas, a pasta dish, and at least one or two starters. It's probably more food than we need, but whatever. Just do it.

How do you deal with being too popular? I dunno it never happened to me but it has to La Stella. We booked and that was the only way we'd get a meal on a Sunday evening. We were 10 mins late but the pizza took a long time coming and we only had 30 mins to eat it before the next booking was upon us and we had no time to sit and eat a dessert!

The food is delicious. We tried the pizza Diavolo and pizza Margherita. Both were very good, and the cheese on top is outstanding. The best vegan cheese on a pizza I have ever eaten! My husband tried their tiramisu, which is also very good.
